“Pleasant stay”
The accommodations were nice overall. The kitchen was a definite bonus. The room decor was dated and somewhat sterile but it was clean. The towels were cheap and rough but the linens were fine and the bed was comfortable. I hope that the new owners will add a fitness center and some walking trails for the non golfer guests.
“great hotwl”
Good hotel overall, would stay there again. Close to other attractions.a lot to do at the hotel itself
“FIRST ANERVERSARY TRIP”
Love to visit the theme parks
“"VERY IMPRESSED"”
The only thing missing for me was"Carpet" in the main living area.
“Thomas - Business Traveler”
Outstanding facilities. Very comfortable and the service was excellent.
“Needs some repairs, but a good resort”
The layout and rooms were great. Need some repairs, such as new screens on windows and handle on fridge broke. Other than that resort was clean and spacious. My one child (10yrs old) loved the pool except the height requirement is to tall, my 6 year old could not use slide because she was not 48in. The slide was not that big. Water parks have a shorter requirement than that. Might stay here again, not sure.
“Very Disappointed and Disgusted - Frog and Insects in the Room!!!”
My wife and I were extremely disappointed with our stay this past weekend. After checking in at the main lobby we went to our room only to find dozens of dead lovebugs all over the entrance hall and into our suite. We were disappointed that the New Management did not think about inspecting our room before we arrived. We had to call the front desk to have someone come and clean which did not happen quickly!! That night after we had dinner we were watching TV when my wife noticed a huge roach walk up the wall and hide behind the mirror near the coach!! .... and here's the kicker, the last night we stayed, my wife and I were getting ready to go out for dinner when a huge frog came up behind the TV and was walking on the wall!!!! I had to trap it and release it outside. We felt disgusted staying there and was glad to leave!! Also when we checked out and complained about their pest control... they did not offer any recompense at all, the lady at the front just said "Oh that sounds unpleasant!" and said to send our complaints to Expedia... So here it is!! We were extremely disappointed with our stay and with their new management at Mystic Dunes!! Also one of the jets to the tub was not working.
“Our second trip as good as first!”
Our second time staying here. Great location, easy to get to and family friendly. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with the adjoining 1 bed 1 bath suite nexy door. There were 5 adults and 5 kids, and the only time when it seemed small is when there were 3 adults in kitchening getting meals ready. The kids enjoyed spa tub when we got rained out, because they watched TV with swimsuits in in tub for what seemed like hours. They loved it! Plenty of room for adults in family room while we took naps and played some board games while it rained. The pool is great, small slide and waterfall a big hit. Restrooms poolside always clean and pretty dry floors. That is always a good sign!! Restaurant and bar offer free kids meal per paying adult, and delivers to room. The hotel provides alot of activities for children Mon-Fri. Friday night they play movie at pool. Some activities have a fee. We will be back!
“Magical Vacation at the Mystic Dunes Resort”
We booked this hotel as part of a flight and hotel package. Our main purpose was to visit the Disney Parks. The location of the resort is near the parks but you will still need to drive to get there. I repeat you will still need to drive even though google maps shows the parks to be pretty close. Parking at the disney parks is 14 bux each day which sucks. There are complimentary shuttles to take you to the Disney parks but their operation times are severely limited. We never took advantage of the shuttles since the timing inflexibility didn't work out for us. The location of the resort is near gift shops, restaurants, fast food joints, gas stations, and the freeway. We booked a 1 bedroom apartment with a king sized bed. The unit is pretty dated but clean except for the carpet. The green carpet is horrid and makes the place look a bit dirty. The bathroom is pretty large and clean. There is a full kitchen which we did not use. We did use the large refrigerator, washer and dryer. There is a living room with a couch and traditional tube tv. The bedroom also has a small tube tv. Internet services are extra. However, you can use internet inside the resort lobby which you will need to walk 5-10 minutes to get to. They also loan out laptops so you can use it in lobby and printer services are complimentary. Overall I enjoyed our stay buy would book at a disney resort next time for transportation to the disney parks.
“Mystic Dunes--can't wait to go back!”
We had out of state family visiting and needed the space and comforts of home and Mystic Dunes fit the bill wonderfully! Staff were friendly and helpful and quick to assist in meeting needs. Our trip was terrific. We had previously stayed at Mystic Dunes and we were not disappointed this time either. I almost don't want to write about how great the place is....it will get crowded and the prices might go up!! :-(
