Great family vacation!Posted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness of room and bathroom. Kitchen in the room. The feel was a small apartment. All the necessities.
Cons: Down pillows, more comforters/blankets. The smoothies were not the best. More high fructose corn syrup than real fruit.
Location: Whole Foods within 15 minutes. Paradise Island within 10 minutes. Starbucks in the hotel mall.
We had a great time. I had read such mixed reviews but followed my gut: good for the kids good for us. Our front desk assistant, Staci, was great. Talked to my 9 year old, asked him questions, got the best room for him! She helped us pick which pool would best suit our family, larger slide, closed earlier so quieter in the night. Helped with a crib for the baby. The room had no smell of chlorine or any household cleaner. It was very clean, recently painted, great towels, comfortable beds. This is not a brand new hotel; no down pillows or fancy bed dressings. Just the basics but very comfortable and very family friendly. Happy with the other guests, well behaved, no rowdy night noises. Kitchen spotless. A/C worked great, water in bath/shower very hot. The kids were so excited with the shows and water slides. We stayed 4 days. Had legoland tickets for the first two days and then stayed an entire day in the hotel and never left. Room service was great the first night, we arrived in the room at 7pm with no dinner. We had grilled chicken sandwich, burgers, salad, guacamole and chips served by a helpful, nice gentleman. The following night after Legoland, I put the kids and spouse in pool and headed to Whole Foods for take out. With frig and microwave we were set for two days. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Close to Paradise Island for Disney stuff. We will come back to this hotel next time! Highly recommend it for a family.

Pros: now the evening entertainment was very good at night
Cons: make the prices more family friendly
Had guest that wanted to come by and say hello and the motel wanted to charge $17.00 per car i will never stay there they had a break buffet that was $25.00 for adults and $10.00 for children what a waste

We have stayed at the Nickelodeon Hotel four times and it has gone downhill to the point where we won't be back. First off, it took almost twenty minutes just to get checked through the gate to be able to park and go check in. There was only one person on the gate, even though it was the time the check ins take place, it was a Saturday the beginning of the holiday Thanksgiving week--busy time 11/23/2013. Once inside to check in, it was an additional 40-45 minutes Understaffed at the counter during prime check in time. I was surprised that we weren't offered any of the usual incentives ie the spongebob bag pkg (I think it's an extra $100- we've done it before and found it worthwhile) or anything to our stay, I thought it was because we booked through expedia this time. We were sent to the guest counter where the person behind that desk - again understaffed so add another wait time- was only interested in booking us for a 90 minute time share presentation at the Sheraton and in return we'd receive eighty in Nick bucks! Hard core push to go along with this, we declined. Our room was in building 5, on the side facing traffic Opened our room door and the room smelled musty/moldy. Who knows how long a room change would take. Sheets clean but stained. Errant earring back on floor in washroom. Mattress/pillows uncomfortable, next to no blankets. We got our swimsuits on and headed for the pool, only to find out that all pools close between 5-6 then open till 9- in morning @11 fully.

Lots to do, lots of noisePosted Nov 25, 2013
We had a fun time. It's a great hotel for kids, with lots to do, but it is VERY noisy. We could literally hear the people talking in the room above us and every move they made. They need to soundproof the rooms. The pool area is constantly noisy. It was hard to sleep even late at night. The rooms could use an update too.

Loved the theme of the hotel, kids loved itPosted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: I love the manager Victoria and the kids loved the characters.
Cons: Making sure the room is clean before sending someone up to there room.
Location: Was not able to do anything near by
Well we showed up early to use the pool which was nice for the kids but then when I got the text to pick up room keys at 1:36pm, I went to what they called the mall which they encouraged me to do and no one was there to help me so I had to walk all the way to the front desk and it is a long walk. Once I get there they give me room keys and I proceed to the room I enter to find that it was not even clean it was horrible and I call down to the desk and they say they will send someone up with room keys, 20 mins go by and no room key so I call the front desk again and they say they are coming right up and again I wait, finally I walk back down again to the front desk and see a manager Victoria (who was the best thing I encountered there). She right away got me my room key and checked in with me later and sent up gifts for the kids. But by this time it was 4:30 and I was tired and very upset that I had not seen my kids faces at the pool and to spend time with them. We we're only staying the one night and it was the only thing I could afford in Orlando to do and I just felt that i did not get that quality time I was hoping for. Also the pool area smelled like a dirty bathroom.
