Too many ridiculous fees.

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Cons: Get rid of the resort fee. Raise the price of the hotel room if you must but charging extra fee is deceptive.
I stayed at this hotel because I was attending the conference at the adjacent center. It was a convenient choice. The hotel is nice but overpriced. Self parking is very inconvenient. Parking is so far that you actually have to take a shuttle to get back to the hotel. I took the valet option. Both self-parking and valet cost extra. At the time that I was there, it was very cold and no one used any resort facility. Nonetheless, it didn't stop the hotel from charging a resort fee (yes, it is in the fine print). It is obviously mercenary. I just hope that they stop pretending that they actually provide you with any service for the resort fee. Overall, with parking and resort fee, be prepare to pay an approximately $50 more per day.

An amazing hotel that has something for everyone.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and we were in a very basic one. The restaurant is very family friendly and although it was too cold to use the pool it looked gorgeous. We will definitely go back for sure.

unhappy customer

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Listening to people's needs when the first call for a reservation. Making sure that the staff follow through.
Location: The location to sea world and unversl was good but if you wanted to go to Disney a lot of traffic.
When we first arrived we were given the wron room. my request was that we have 2 double beds , handicap bathroom and no fragrances. everything I requested was not given . I was at the hotel and had to change rooms 4 times in a 7 day period. No fun packing up all the time and wasting your trip.

Disappointing!

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: The layout of the pool and activity area's for kids. plenty of space to grab chairs.
Cons: Clearly there needs to be better communication between bookings from expedia to the hotel. and VALET, VALET, VALET!! Must be improved!
Location: Orlando.. need I say anything else?
Upon check in they charged me full nights rate which was already overpriced due to the holiday - they did not even explain they where charging me BEFORE they charged me. Luckily I had my phone in my hands and I see the charge go thru. I explained that we had prepaid expedia. They apologized and said that it did not come thru as being prepaid but they said they wanted to retain the authorization until check out! Our room reservation stated resort view. We were told our resort fee included wifi for up to 6 devices. Not so.. we could not connect without getting charged either way. We got the view of the air handlers at the back of the hotel that sounded like airplanes taking off all night. The room has a water closet that is NOT vented!! and incredibly small! You cldnt even breath in there, so tight and stuffy. The AC did not work, it was on fan only no cool air. House keeping did NOT come and clean the room at all. Upon check out, line was ridiculous, complained about the AC they credited me $25.00 and said they would release the hold. But the WORSE thing was the VALET! it took us 1.5 hours to get our car!! Thank God we did not have flights or we would have missed them!! AND you are charged $28.00 a day for valet! Ridiculous!!

Too expensive

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Price is not everything on my list but, i consider that for the money i paid there were unnecessary charges that should have been covered already such as, guess fee, parking fee, breakfast.

Good Morning Carlos, Thank you for responding to our Customer Satisfaction Survey. Your information has been forwarded to me so I can respond personally. While it is never pleasant to hear a guest had a disappointing stay, your insights and comments are taken very seriously. Our Resort Fee of $20 plus tax per day, per room has a value of over $150. We certainly apologize if the benefits were not shared with you upon check-in. We have a parking fee in place so we may provide a clean, secure parking facility in which you can feel comfortable leaving your vehicle. The parking fee is comparable to other resorts in the area that charge for the same service; consider Gaylord Palms, JW Marriott Grande Lakes and Renaissance at Sea World. Our shuttle, to and from our parking facility, makes it convenient twenty-four hours a day throughout your stay. During your booking process, there are different packages to choose from, many include breakfast if that is what you desire. These include our stunning breakfast buffet which has over 150 delicious choices, along with Kosher and Specialty Foods. Our Chefs also will prepare specific requests to accommodate any dietary needs. We hope you will give us the opportunity and honor to serve you again when your travels bring you back to the Orlando area. Have a lovely day and a wonderful New Year! Judy E Guest Care Coordinator

The worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Posted Jan 4, 2015
I travel professionally and stay in hotels 4 out of 7 nights across the country. This was a planned family vacation ... the first experience. 2 nights I slept without a blanket, 3 nights the a/c leaked a puddle on the floor. I complained everyday with no result. No manger in sight. The staff of the hotel was complaining to guests. It took 3 hours to have car brought from valet parking. It's the largest Marriott in the world but unfortunately also the worst and most understaffed.
