Nice hotel but please read....

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Lobby was impressive
Cons: other than thicker soundproof windows, just that little extra effort and touch
Location: congested intersection
Nice lobby, somewhat clean, but the noise from outside kept me up the majority of the night, very thin windows and walls

Should be so much better....

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Upgrade rooms to be more business-friendly; upgrade food quality; upgrade workout room.
Location: Near UCF campus.
I expect Radisson to meet a certain quality standard, but sadly, this one sinks below most other "average" hotels. Notable exception: All hotel employees were VERY courteous! Food was below average; room was OK, but bedding is sub-par and somewhat uncomfortable; work desk is not outfitted with outlets for good work area; and desk chair was in horrible condition and was supposedly replaced by another - but if it was, it was replaced by another inferior chair. Minor point, but the bath amenities are also sparse. Exercise room was not once taken care of in the three days I was there - none of the towels were replaced; the water dispenser was empty, and the same trash was there for all 3 days. Low quality and inadequate workout equipment. This hotel needs a major upgrade to compete with Holiday Inn Express or Comfort Suites.

needs a major overhaul

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: location only
Cons: Gut the building and make it a RADISSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was not a RADISSON!!@!!!
Location: GOOD!
The carpet in the front lobby was held down with RED TAPE! The AIRCONDITIONING in room 508 has a broken dial to control air flow. The unit had to be covered with a towel to control the ICE COLD BREEZE at full blast! The phone in the room also was not operable.

Gave my room away

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Convenience to UCF
Cons: Staff should have required a photo ID from the person who used my name and got my room. Air conditioners should be left running in rooms.
Location: UCF
I arrived for check in at 10:30 PM. When I gave my name I was asked by hotel staff if someone else in my party had already checked in. I said no. Somehow, someone used my name and was given my pre-paid room. Meanwhile, the hotel was "booked." I stood at the counter for nearly 30 minutes while 3 staffers attempted to resolve the issue. I room was eventually located. However, the staff offered nothing more than an apology for the time I stood waiting for them to solve the problem. When asked to give a credit card for incidentals, I asked if we could waive that necessity in light of the situation. Nope. It was, apparently, a non-negotiable requirement. Once I arrived in my room the air conditioning had been turned off. So the August Florida heat had left the room beyond hot. The room was old and seemed dirty. I didn't want to touch anything. I don't anticipate staying at this particular hotel again.

Good Morning, and we do appreciate your recent stay as well as your feedback. I wanted to let you know that I was contacted during your check in process, and wanted to offer some clarification if it may help. To be clear, your room was not given away, however we did need to take a moment to ensure we had your reservation correct and I do apologize for any delay this caused. Checking ID was unfortunately not the issue, and I was happy to speak with the staff over the phone to assist them in making sure we got it right for you. But I can assure you there was no risk to losing your reservation, or to making any incorrect billing. If you have any concerns however, please contact me directly and I would be more than happy to speak with you, and I do hope you enjoyed the remainder of your visit.

Never stayed at a Radisson that is so run down, where the paint is coming off the walls and doors, and whose overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired! Not even the door to the bathroom would close! I am surprised that Expedia would allow this type of property to be listed!

Not sure how this is classified as a 3.5 star...

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Location to UCF
Cons: A/C is musty, sheets are scratchy, shower curtain had brown sludge on it - hotel needs an update. Also, parking lot was very dark - lights were out.
Location: Close to UCF and Waterford Town Center
Checked in for one night to go the Orlando Speedway and visit family at UCF. The lights in the parking lot were out so it was very dark. There was a party going on in the conference area so it was noisy on the bottom floor at around 11pm - not a big deal to us, though as we couldn't hear it from the seventh floor where we stayed. The bathroom shower curtain was dirty and there was visible soap scum in the shower. The sheets were itchy and the room's A/C was musty. It was tolerable seeing as we were only there for one night but calling this a 3.5 star is misleading.

Doesn't live up to the name

Posted Jul 20, 2014
I was supposed to have a king bed and they told me they were out so, I was given 2 queens. Cable didn't work. A/C didn't work. Holes in the walls all over the hotel. Ice machine and vending machines didn't work on my floor. Decor was old and dated. Bathroom was grundgy! Would not recommend this hotel. Staff was nice and that was the only good thing about this hotel.
