Bad quality for the price

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
No required room available (no one king size bed available - how is this possible??), bad quality towels, old and low quality bed sheets, mattresses and pillows, loud and dis-regulated air conditioning, small tv screen, express check out not working, lot of noise in the aisle from the staff (yelling some times) , staff going into the room at any time without knocking and waiting. Old rooms and bathrooms need immediate improvement and renewal. Dirty carpets in the entire facility. Parking extremely expensive and far away, and packed of cars - at some point there were no parking spaces available. Being a recurrent Orlando visitor, this was the most disappointing hotel ever. I've been to cheaper hotels in the area, and way more comfortable and clean. Not worth the price at all.

Connected Skywalk to convention centre

Posted Jul 7, 2015
It was ok but could have been better. Small things like room slippers, toiletry, in room bottled water, letterheads & env are missing.

average for older convention hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2015
they were able to get us into our room several hours early - checkin was 3 pm and we got there around 8 am. That was wonderful. Now, for the disappointing item - the breakfast buffet restaurant adds an automatic 16% gratuity to the bill. Have seen this for large parties but never for a serve yourself buffet where neither the juice nor coffee was refilled.

Very good if expensive.

Great experience for the most part. Wonderful staff and facility but watch out for extra fees for some services.

Will avoid Orlando

Pros: Clean room
Cons: See above
Location: Plenty
I found the hotel expensive regarding restaurants. Fees for parking, you have to be kidding. No entertainment, except for steel drum guy at the pool. Free internet service, however, upgrade to higher speed service is an additional charge!!! Charges for 3rd adult (my daughter) $20/night, hey, the bed is there anyway. Bring earplugs for the pool area, helicopters flying overhead. Might as well be at the airport. No space around the bathroom sink to put your "stuff". Bring your smile face, you won't see one at the check-in desk.

Staff was super friendly, beds and pillows perfect. Bathroom clean as well as the room. Had the buffet breakfast, again staff couldn't have been nicer and the food was delicious. Highly recommend. Will def return.

Unacceptable!

Where do I start. The ac system is so outdated and in the middle of June, it made our entire trip miserable. Our convention was in a different Rosan hotel and we didn't know that until after we checked into our hotbox of a room. In an attempt to attend our first event of the convention, it took twice as long to get ready because we were sweating. So we called down to ask if they could look at the 1970's equipment while we were out. The conceige showed little sympathy for us after he broke the news that the convention was at Rosan Shingle a different hotel/location. We went to the bar in the lobby and order 2 liquor beverages. They gave us both ice water with a splash of an unknown liquid. No exaggeration. We quickly left and decided to try the raved about sushi restaurant but there were only 10 seats for the whole place. So, time to travel to the other hotel. In order to get a cab you had to wait in one of the 5 lines that were 15-20 people long. Or get your car out of valet and sit in the most congested and confusing traffic I have ever seen. Three miles and 45 mins later, parched and sweating we arrived at the "Shingle" to discover the remarkable difference between the Centr and the gorgeous and appropriately cooled RESORT which must be twice as expensive but it's the same price per night. By the time we walked the long but beautiful path to the convention entrance , we had to walk halfway back to get credentials and 45 minutes left to walk the exhibit hall.

Rosen Hotels are always outstanding

Pros: The Rosen Centre was centrally located and convenient.
This was was my first time at the Rosen Centre, but other Rosen properties I've stayed at have always been outstanding experiences. I highly recommend any Rosen facility.
