“Did not meet what is expected from a Sheraton Hotel”

My wife and I checked in for a 6-day vacation. We arrived around 9 PM, the gentleman at the reception desk didn't seem friendly and offered no help to take our luggage to the room. One day we returned to our room around 7 PM and it was not done. Called guest services who managed to get someone from the housekeeping to do it that late. We didn't use the restaurant because it is too expensive, e.g. breakfast varies from $12-17. Room was generally clean but furniture looks old and need to be upgraded. So it was not what I expected to find in a Sheraton hotel and I doubt we would be back again.

Probably downtown Orlando, it's more lively

“Better than I expected”

After reading so many awful reviews of terrible hotels I was terrified that this hotel would be dirty, bug infested, and in a crime riddled location. But the opposite was true. The service was good, the rooms were nice and clean, and the amenities were great. Plus, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious. The only complaint that I have is that the rugs in the hallways need to be cleaned because they were full of stains.

“Marginal”

We had a non-smoking room, but the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. Also there was dirt in a corner of the bathroom floor. The room appeared very clean otherwise. Hotel restaurant had excellent food and service; we would have liked more options for a light and inexpensive meal late in the evening. Also there was no information provided about other dining venues in the neighbourhood. It was a nice place to stay but we would have preferred to be walking distance to stores and restaurants.

Sheraton Safari on Apopka-Vineland had easy proximity to a variety of dining venues.

“It was okay”

The only complaint I have is that the carpets in the public areas were very dirty. They should be replaced as soon as possible. Other than that, the location was good for me, the neighborhood was comfortable, the service was good and the rooms were clean.

“Great Hotel”

Perfect place for our plans which included a wedding at Rollins college as well as side trips to Disney. Convenient location for both, and relaxing amenities on-site for any down time we had.

“Not worth the hype”

The beds were not properly set (in both rooms we used) and literally tipped up when we sat on the end,! We had our one year old with us too and the sheets on the beds were incredibly loud when we moved that it would wake her up in her crib. They were not soft sheets, that is for sure -- way too "crispy" to the point of obnoxious. Also, our air unit was broken somehow because the only time the unit would shut off is if you set it to heat. And the temp. stayed the same number even though it was colder. The rooms also did not come with hairdryers-- not a huge deal but what hotel doesn't provide hairdryers? The restaurant is quite expensive but good food. It is your basic continental breakfast but you have to pay $13 for it. We did not have full access to a car for our entire visit so we wanted to eat somewhere less expensive nearby, walking distance. My husband went to find food but realized there are busy roads and such that do not make walking to other places very accessible if you walk. He literally almost got hit by a bus while trying to cross a street to get to the Applebees! No wonder the cafe's prices are so high-- the convenience of it outweighs the price since there isn't much else around. Overall, it was a nice place but not the most comfortable. Would probably stay somewhere else if going to the same area again.
