very good location

Posted Jul 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
The receptionist was very nice at our late arrival. The location is perfect to explore Downtown area. The lake was beautiful to take a walk in the morning. Only complaint is the condition of the room. There was a leak from the ceiling and the carpet underneath was wet. Also, the mattress was too soft for us. We'd love to stay again if it's different room.

Great location!! Overall good experience. Staff was very nice. Jacuzzi takes too long to heat up so wasn't able to use it.

July 13 - 18 visit

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: The peace and quiet.
Cons: A small fridge would be nice for longer stays.
Location: Nice lake and park across the street. Plenty of dining and shopping options within a few minutes walk.
Surprisingly quiet and relaxing. Great bed. Nice linen and towels. Balcony was definitely a plus. No fridge or microwave, yet there are plenty of dining options within a short walking distance. Nice neighborhood. Friendly people all around.

I spent two days at the Eo spa, and it was an amazing experience. Even though the room is small, it was very clean, and the surrounding area was very quiet. Definitely is not a family hotel. But for a business, romantic, or spiritual retreat is an awesome place. The spa is a plus, and I had a facial with Dee and this lady did a wonderful job. Very sweet lady. I wouild come back again in the near future. Thanks EO.

Nice boutique-type hotel. Very clean, modern rooms. Friendly staff. Rooftop hot tub and terrace was nice surprise. We only stayed overnight but would definitely stay here again.

Cute hotel - horrible shower

Posted Jul 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Loved everything about this hotel except the shower. One of the worst showers I've ever had the misfortune of using. The floor felt slimy and the shower head had little pressure and the water also backed up into the shower. Just awful - but luckily only there for one night. But it is in a nice area with a great park across the street and easy walking distance to downtown fun and to our destination - Bob Carr Performing Arts center.

ROOMS ARE SMALL

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: the charm of it
Cons: the rooms do need updating
Location: Shopping nearby and close to public transportation.
booked this for my son and his friend. The rooms are very small but adequate. There is a hot tub open until 10 PM and there is the spa. They forgot to clean my son's room and that was very disappointing considering the prices they charge. This hotel sits atop a Panera Bread, so breakfast is convenient. This is the old charming downtown Orlando in the Thorton shopping district right near Lake Eola.If you are claustrophobic I would not recommend this place.

Great area! .. Needs a few updates

Posted Jul 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
I absolutely loved the area and being within quick walking distance of the hotel I could very easily stow anything I purchases without needs to do that in the truck of my car. The hotel could use a few updates though. The rooms are small, and I actually liked that. it felt more like MY room and not a hotel room however some things were broken and the whole place needed some paint. Was in 209 and Wifi sucked. barely got a signal at all. Ended up using my iPhone instead. In their defense, the Wifi issue was a tech guy problem. They are using modified Linksys routers with DD-WRT. I suggested that they stick Apple Airport Extremes in. Reach further and would be simpler to manage. The hotel staff were very knowledgable about the area and helped me to get to all the cool local spots I wanted to see. So, overall they get a 4. If they followed the suggestions I gave them, next time it will be a 5!
