Greta hotel but a couple of things need addressingPosted Jul 15, 2015
We have recently arrived back after spending 14 nights at the Florida Hotel and Conference Centre (22 June – 6 July). After a good flight with Virgin Atlantic we arrived relaxed and ready to enjoy our stay. We had stayed there before so we knew what to expect, lovely rooms, great hospitality and friendliness from all the staff. We had asked for three quiet rooms away from the lifts. The rooms we were given were quiet but need to be upgraded, they are tired looking and need brightening up. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was clean except for the carpet. It had fine grit all over it and clearly had not been hoovered for a while. I came out of the bathroom barefooted on the first night only to step on a toe nail stuck up in the carpet. Disgusting. I hasten to add it was not ours. We did ask for another room and was told we could move the following day to the top floor but when we went to get those keys the rooms were not in use. Strange! We were offered other rooms for the following day but we decided to stay put as that would have put us in to our third day of our holiday and had still not unpacked whilst waiting for things to be sorted. One word of warning, when booking this hotel with Expedia. The hotel charges a fee of $18 a day per room. We fell in to the trap of believing this was covered by the taxes we paid to Expedia. It is not. You will have to pay this fee separately at the hotel. The breakfast in Marcello’s is brilliant and thanks you to all our

Pros: Convenient location, friendly staff.
Cons: Lumpy bed, bathroom tiles were painted. Nice at first glance but needs to be refreshed and updated. Lobby bathroom was disgusting.

Ok hotelPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location. Adjoining shopping mall.
Location: Central to Orlando and airport.
Just returned after spending 3 nights here. Nothing out of the ordinary and comfortable for the odd day in Orlando. Adjacent to airport. Nice clean room. Breakfast disappointing with uninterested staff in attendance.

Well kept, mall access, comfortable parkingPosted May 26, 2015
The hotel facilities were great, very clean and comfy. Mall access directly from the hotel lobby and plenty of parking. Universal studios, Sea world and premium outlet malls are all a short drive away.

The Florida Hotel and Conference CenterPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Attached to mall
Location: The mall so shopping and food choices. The airport was near by.
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were comfortable, staff friendly and it is attached to the shopping mall so there was a food court which had a variety of offerings. The hotel had several restuarants. My conference was located at the hotel so that was very convenient. I attended the AADE conference last year in Orlando which was held at the Orlando Conference Center and this was much more conducive to learning since everything was so convenient.
