Nice hotel close to the Convention CenterPosted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Clean, friendly staff.
Cons: The restaurant could be better.
Location: Universal Theme Park, Wet n Wild Water Park, Convention Center and several restaurants close by
The hotel was very nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The Cabana Restaurant was a disappointment but the pool area was very clean and plenty of chairs and towels. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Had to go to the front desk for ice but other than that it was a very nice stay.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway to Universal StudiosPosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness, the room size and features (full kitchen, washer/ dryer. humungous bathroom, spacious balcony
Cons: allow your guests to precheck in if they arrive early. Even if they cant get the room physically, at least to guarantee the room type and floor
Location: Less than 1 mile from Universal, right next to iDrive, you don't have to leave this area for anything
We arrived on a Saturday around 2PM, there were no rooms available for early check in, so we had to change in the bathroom in their lobby in order to head over to Universal in time to spend the afternoon there. This is something that is now very common with hotels internationally, no early check in. Not convenient, but also it is not required for them to allow you to check in till 4PM. The additional downfall was that after we came back to the park to check in again (since it was way after 4PM), we got the last available room on the first floor since we were the "last" ones to check in. That was unpleasant, since I requested a room on a high floor at the time that I reserved. But, still not a deal breaker. We booked the Grand Suite one bedroom. It was the size of a small apartment, with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, HUGE bathroom, and the bedroom independent from the living room space. The room was very clean also. We loved the size and how close this hotel is from Universal. It is about one mile away, super convenient. The hotel looks brand new, very clean, nice pool area, perfect for families or for couples.

Close to universalPosted Mar 22, 2015
Although this hotel is close to Universal where I stayed with 2 teenagers, it would be the only reason to stay here. The drive in is depressing, on an empty lot on universal dr. The pool is comically awful as is the pathetic bar area. The dining area is in the entrance. Rooms are ok as is the kitchen area.

Great hotel & great locationPosted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: I used the fitness center three times and it was well stocked with towels and water. The Cabana bar was great for a late night sandwich and drink.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Location: With proximity to International Drive, lots of restaurants and activities are nearby.
We were in Orlando to attend some college softball games for the week. The location was excellent for all the activities that we had planned. We had an executive studio suite, 1 king bed with a sofabed for the two of us. We loved the amenities of a refrigerator, microwave, and Kuerig coffee maker. The room was spacious with free WiFi and parking.

Wonderful staff and servicePosted Mar 15, 2015
This hotel is really friendly and the staff is very attentive. They go above and beyond in their duties. One negative I have is the location but it's soley a personal negative. I was on a Disney trip and did not realize it was more travel distance than anticipated. Location otherwise, was good with lots of amenities in the area. My last negative is the Cabana/Barista were just okay, it was definitely overpriced. You're better off cooking in the hotel suite and take advantage of the kitchen. And the alcohol drinks were watered down. My two girls are under the age of five, the hotel was very receptive of that and helped us check in earlier than check-in time. I am truly grateful for that, they always need their naps! We had the pool view and they loved viewing it and going on the balcony. We also got locked out of our room and they came to our rescue within minutes. This was an awesome hotel, I would definitely consider it again if I go back on the future. The

Price paid was 15% more than quote from Expedia because Expedia doesn't include tax & resort fee. Bed was not too comfortable. Staff very friendly! Fit our group of 7 well.

close to theme parksPosted Mar 12, 2015
Overall the hotel was very good. Close to theme parks and provide a free shuttle. Pool area and bar were pretty good. Not a huge menu but the food I had was good. Drinks are pretty pricey. They do charge you a "resort" fee each day which seemed unnecessary. I liked the hotel and would stay there again.
