Not the best economy hotel I've stayed in

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: It was convenient to the Amway Center.
Cons: The staff could be nicer and more welcoming. The rooms could be nicer. There could be an elevator to the second floor and a bathroom in the lobby.
Location: Convenient to Amway Center.
The hotel staff was mediocre in attitude and friendliness. Not very welcoming. I was thinking they would be a great site for Undercover Boss. I was glad I only had to stay there for one night.

Nice... for the night

Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: great service and location
Cons: smell of room
Location: downtown orlando, amway center
Nice for a night after the clubs or a magic game but we got a smoking room and it reeked of cigarettes the second we walked in and for the rest of the night even with the AC on and wouldn't go away. but we did get a smoking room, though besides that everything was great and the people at the front desk were very funny and accomidating. Expedia told us that check out was at 12pm when the front desk called us at the room and reminded us it was at 11am and they let us check out late with no penalty which was nice!

What a dump!

Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, with tips on where to eat, etc.
Cons: Keep the staff, replace the building!
Location: Very close (within walking distance) to downtown Orlando - which is why I chose it in the first place. I didn't want to rent a car.
Entire building was NASTY! Peeling paint, mold in the bathroom (especially on the shower curtain), rusty plumbing fixtures, old furniture, old (small) TV. Basic room with a bed, but even the linens were "questionable".

Very worn rooms. Booked a smoking room by accident and the desk couldn't switch me. It was my fault but they were booked.

Does the job

Needed this room to simply have a place to sleep in Orlando and for the price and location it was a great value. Just keep in mind a few things. The area looks kind of rough but still near downtown. Parking is super tight but lit. This place is for function and convenience only. Do NOT expect luxury or romance.
