Lovely pool area, heated for cool nights.Posted Mar 4, 2014
Pros: Location, amenities, pool, 3BR units.
Great location close to universal. Nice area, Wal-greens 1 block away for conveniences. The original 3BR condo we booked was a little far from the pool, but the staff was superior friendly & accommodating & moved us to a bigger unit closer to the pool at no additional charge. Room service delivery from several local chain restaurants too.

everything we needed and morePosted Feb 23, 2014
Cons: Needed more front desk staff. We were left waiting a couple of times by having on a single person to deal with people and answer the phone.
Lots of space, great kitchen, nice pool. Convenient location to Universal Studios, Sea World, and International Drive.

Clean and comfortablePosted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: beds were comfortable, kitchen was nice
Cons: give us more towels and upgrade the quality of the t.p.!
Location: Very close drive to Sea World and Discovery Cove. Not far from the airport. Conveniently located near a grocery store.
The condo was clean and comfortable. However, there were annoying signs all over the house about how we would get charged extra if we did this or that. Like get makeup on their washcloths. Well, duh, isn't that what wash cloths are for?? Also, after choosing the condo based on its competitive price, they tacked on a $75 cleaning fee and $30 admin fee. That's a cheap trick. By rating the hotel staff 1, I am not dissing the people who checked us in. I am dissing the management for their cheap policies.

Vista Cay Resort OrlandoPosted Feb 9, 2014
Cons: Provide the services to their customers they paid for.
Location: Universal Studios
We booked Vista Cay Resort via Expedia over a year ago and paid in full at that time. When we arrived at Vista Cay we were told the main pool was under repairs for two weeks and the only available pool would be in another complex of theirs which wasn't even within walking distance. Because of the closure of the main pool everyone from both complexes had to use the one pool and you couldn't even walk onto the pool grounds as everyone was laying on the chairs and on the cement by the pool. No room to even stay and swim. Very disappointing for my Special Needs son who was looking forward to this stay for a whole year. When I asked the Management Team upon checkout they offered nothing but an I'm sorry. The very least they could have done was to let us know before we came down to give us other options about our stay in Orlando or an adjustment to our $1600.00 per week billing. Just another major corporation taking the money but not providing the services their customers paid for. I will never stay at Vista Cay Orlando again nor will I ever book via Expedia again.

Not as close the to convention centerPosted Feb 7, 2014
Townhome was big, kitchen and living room were nice. Only one way in and a long drive to the townhome once on the property, if you go on foot.. It is very challenging because of the security gates and no walk path around. The bedroom seemed like it sat on the road, did not get one good nights sleep because of busses construction equipment, motorcycles, and an occasional accident. Only one pool was open, not the main pool, and it was better to drive there because of the distance from the room.

Good resort - potential to be greatPosted Feb 5, 2014
Pros: staff was excellent; gated community
Cons: cleanliness and decor/furniture in living room needs to be updated/replaced
Location: looks like its a new area being built up. near convention center. shopping center close by has about 3 stores. 20 mins from disney. 2 mi. to seaworld
We were upgraded to a 3 bedroom town home with private garage. Town house is beautiful and spacious. The driveway is really narrow and we did not utilize the garage afraid to damage the rental car. The only downfall is cleanliness. The floors looked vaccumed yet there were dead bugs in the corners and crumbs on the floor - specifically the stairs. Not a big deal. I just took out the vaccum and cleaned it my self. The dishes & mugs in the cabinets still had stains & crust on them.. so i rinsed them in the sink & ran it through the dish washer. Shower curtain in the master bedroom had mold on it, so I called housekeeping and they changed it (called 2 times). Afraid of the bedding being dirty, I took the bed sheets off and washed them myself. A lot of cleaning, but at least I felt comfortable. There is a daily resort fee AND a cleaning fee if you stay less than 5 days. I requested a pack & play in the room. I also called to confirm that the pack & play would be in the room. it wasn't. There were missing items in the kitchen & know this by the checklist they keep in the room. The decor in the room was ok and worn. The couch was flat in the center - the furnishings and decor should be replaced. The resort is about 20 minutes from Disney, 5 minutes from Sea World. There is a Walgreens and salon on the property. Walmart is about 10 minutes away and there is a Publix VERY close by (i think its a new shopping center). There is also a Chinese Restaraunt (good) and Pizza place in the Publix shopping center. With all that being said regarding cleanliness, I would stay here again.

Great option near convention centerPosted Jan 31, 2014
These suites provide a spacious alternative to a hotel room for a comparable price. Lots of amenities provided to eat at home and parking is included.

Loved this resort... Very home likePosted Jan 29, 2014
I originally booked a two bedroom deluxe bc it was just my fiancé and I... Then when we got there to check in they upgraded us to a 3 bedroom 4 bathroom town home w a garage! It was beautiful. And the upgrade was free! So we had some guest over and it was a really nice home away from home and nice to have guest over. Everything was clean. They have all the necessities u need in the kitchen. Pizza cutter, cutting board... U name it. At least just the basics u need around the house. I'm definitely going to stay there for my next Florida trip!

Not what I expectedPosted Jan 26, 2014
I asked how much an upgrade to a premium room would be and was told it would be $45 a night but found out it was only $25 more I was disappointed since I would have taken the upgrade. Also we were promised a crib but got a pack n play instead. Not good for a 2 year old. Room was cramped. They did refund me resort fee howeer

Nice hotel close to parksPosted Jan 26, 2014
We stayed at vista cay for three days before getting there I called the hotel the day before requesting a crib. They said no problem when I got there they said they did not have a crib and gave me a pack n play. Not acceptable. Our room was very nice but if you don't upgrade to the better room the rooms are not so comfortable.
