Nice hotel easy access to Disney parks

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Cons: Hallways were a little dreary.
The hotel was beautifully decorated. Room was clean and big. Didn't get to see the pool as the weather turned for the worse. Easy access to parks via the ferry service. Would definitley stay again on a future visit to Disney.

Probably fine for a business convention

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Disney hotel perks
Cons: Better food service at better value
Location: Fantastic location 10 minute free ferry or walk to Epcot and Hollywood parks
Food services, especially the Cafeteria in basement and coffee bar are sub-par, walls are paper thin, TV offerings very limited, generally kept up well but overall experience is like being transported back to the 1990's - only saving grace is being the poor stepchild of the nearby Disney resorts and having the the perks that come with that status. You get what you pay for.

Nice view of the roof

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: More pizza, pretzels, hot dog & nacho joints
Location: Boardwalk, boat taxi to Epcot, Hollywood Disney, downtown Disney, other resorts,
Good experience, easy to check out, I lost my shoe in the hotel and I called the hotel as soon as I got home but no shoe...hmmm i know it was in there grr Roof view, our door had two peep holes, there was an outlet that was waist high on the wall and it was upside down, there were lights above the bed that had no switch to because we tried every switch in the room but other than that location was excellent, this hotel needed a specialty coffee place because "the Refresher" counter does NOT know how to make a good iced mocha latte therefore this hotel needs more restaurants and definitely needs an outside sit down area that's closed from the public but still comfortable for guests to sit outside all night or have an outside bonfire pit or something

OK RESORT

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Update Rooms
Location: Disney World parks, you can walk to Epcot, take water taxi to Magic Kingdom...
We stayed for 3 days/2 nights. First the positive: The convenience of the location to the parks and restaurants in hotel. Not so great: We were surprised to have been charged on top of our nightly rate a "mandatory" $23 per night fee plus parking $16 per night. Which in the end makes the quoted rates online seem to be unrealistic. You're not told about the charges until you're checking -in and at this point what can you do?? WE had requested a room with a view, was told at checkin "all our rooms have great views" - NOT! We were given a room with the roof view to the convention center. My husband had to speak with manager in order to get our room changed. I think for next time, for what Disney considers a Delxe category, I will stay at their Boardwalk hotel area. I think if these mandatory fees are provided up front while your booking, I would consider Hotel, otherwise, I will keep looking.

Would Stay at Dolphin Again

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: It was on the Disney property but it was not as expensive as the other Disney hotels near Epcot.
Cons: The bathroom was outdated and the tile floor could use replacing.
Location: We loved taking the ferry boat to Epcot. We also walked back from the park. It's really not that far and you pass by the Boardwalk, which is nice.
We had a corner King room with two balconies, one was covered. It was wonderful and the view was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom could use a bit of work (no deal breaker though). Check-in and check-out staff were very friendly and helpful. Charged one of our cell phones at concierge desk ... a nice little perk, since we arrived too early for our room to be ready. Hotel offers quite a few bars and eateries, as well as a couple shops.

Pros: Cleanliness, places to eat inside the hotel
Location: Epcot and all the Disney fun things
We booked our stay thru Expedia , it was a package. We have always stayed at a resort such as Boardwalk or Polynesian. The hotel was very nice. I had the misfortune of becoming sick while there. So did not use pool or many of the amenities but is was still a nice trip.

Posted Nov 17, 2014
