Great location to parks and activities. Expensive food and hotel prices. Staff were accommodating. No Disney theme but overall a comfortable place to stay with lots of people

Construction noise all day

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was accommodating and helpful. There is a 24 hour restaurant at the Dolphin.
Cons: The hotel could link into Disney MagicBands and have more information about the parks.
Location: Close Disney World Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
We were in a room adjacent to construction. The noise began at 7am and lasted until at least 5pm. After we complained we were told the construction should not begin until 9am. But it started at 7am just the same the next day. We couldn't relax back in the room at any point during the day. We had to try a quiet, remote spot in the lobby to relax for a bit. It was miserable. On the day of our checkout the front desk staff finally offered to move us. We could have a quiter room for three hours. Seriously!? The only assistance we received was by calling the hotel number for guest services. The service agent told us we would receive a $100 credit on our account upon checkout. We were supposed to tell the person at the front desk and she would apply the credit. But the woman at the front desk really didn't want to give us the credit. My husband had to recount the entire ordeal and conversation and finally she credited our account.

A good intro to Disney

Posted Jul 24, 2014
If you're looking for somewhere relatively inexpensive to stay within the Disney resort then this is a good hotel to stay at. The rooms themselves have seen better days, and are showing the age of the property, however they are clean, beds are comfortable and staff are helpful and friendly. The property wifi is a little flaky, so be prepared to battle to your phone in order to take pictures of the great pools facilities to make your friends jealous. There is a 24hr shop on site which is helpful if you arrive late in the evening as we did. It's a great location within Disney and both Epcot and Hollywood studios are a comfortable walk away, as is Disney Boardwalk (although Disney transportation is easily accessible too). Beware if you prepay that there is still a $22/day resort charge (as of July 2014) that you need to pay at the end of your stay. Overall though a great base for some Disney fun.

Beautiful hotel, excellent location and facilities

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Location, Architecture, Shuttle transportation, landscaping, staff
Cons: Room cleaning may improve by taking all trash left in the floor (mainly bags) they only did if a note was left
Location: It was a perfect location, in front of Hollywood Studios, very close to other parks, very easy access to malls, and other Orlando attractions
The hotel is beautiful, landscaping and architecture make it unique. Perfect location and you can enjoy three different ways to go to Disney Parks, either by shuttle bus, by boat or even walking¡ Staff marvelous and very courteous . Beds were amazing, you perfectly can rest. The location was perfect not only for the Disney Theme Parks, the hotel is close to malls, and other Orlando theme parks. Directions are clear and easy to follow. Public areas very well maintained. Beautiful views of lakes, gardens, etc. Shuttle transportation excellent

Transportation to the Parks

The rooms are clean, they are outdated, but clean. Hotel staff are horrible, the housekeepers don't speak English well, the hotel is beautiful, but u pay for EVERYTHING. I mean down to the s'mores at the bonfire.

It was great however the bathroom had a blockage. Once reported it was resolved within 10 minutes and the front desk followed up. Great service. Big beds.

Walking distance to Epcot

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Great location
Cons: We hardly spent anytime in the hotel. Never even saw the pool but everything we experienced was clean and friendly
Location: Perfect if you like to walk to Epcot or Hollywood studios. Plenty of other transportation nearby but nice some days to not have to wait.
We loved the location and it fit our needs perfectly. The only issue was that our Disney experience package did not come with the magic bands because we stayed on the property at "Walt Disney World Resort Hotel" Instead of "Disney Resort Hotel". Seriously?

Not really a Disney Hotel

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Convince to Epcot
Cons: Remodel and service
This is what I was told when I inquired about parking fees and I actually showed the concierge that it actually stated that free parking for all resorts and theme parks. The concierge spoke with a manager and decided to remove the fee after rudely reminded if I chose to stay again that this fee will be applied. I've stay at many Disney resorts and this one was very disappointing to me. I expected more from Disney. The rooms need to be updated as well as the rest of the hotel. I'm an annual passport holder but because I didn't stay in an actual Disney Resort I didn't receive the new arm bands that I was suppose to receive. Benches at the bus stop were broken and this is not what you expect from Disney. Our room was never really cleaned they made the beds but the linen wasn't changed nor was the trash emptied. NO I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS RESORT AGAIN.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Walt Disney World

Posted Jul 22, 2014
The staff at this hotel are phenomenal. We made our reservation on the spur of the moment, just hours before our expected arrival time. When we arrived at check-in, the staff explained that there was a problem with the water at the Swan, and provided us with a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast vouchers for their sister hotel the Dolphin. It was an amazing experience!!
