Property Amenities

Set on 340 acres, this Kissimmee resort shares the grounds with a partner property where guests have full access. Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot® and Disney's Hollywood Studios™ are within seven miles, and the resort houses a convenient ticket booth.

Several lakes, multiple swimming pools, children's pools, and spa tubs dot the grounds. Fishing and paddleboat rentals are provided at a natural lake with a marina and dock. Other recreation includes tennis, basketball, miniature golf, and bike rentals (surcharges). A kid's club is provided for ages 2-12 (surcharges). Nightly activities include live tiger shows, karaoke, happy hours, and bingo (surcharges).

A movie theater is on premesis. The property also contains retail shops, a clubhouse with a mini-market and deli, as well as Pizza Hut Express with outdoor dining and room-service delivery. A video library and fitness center are also provided.

The resort offers complimentary scheduled transportation to three major theme parks: Walt Disney World®, Sea World, and Universal Orlando. Schedules and pick-up locations can be obtained at the front desk.

Recreation

Plenty of recreational opportunities are available on this 340-acre Orlando-area resort, shared with a partner property, Westgate Vacation Villas. A marina is on one of the several lakes, and offers fishing and paddleboat rentals (surcharges). Multiple outdoor pools, spa tubs, and children's pools are spread throughout the grounds and are located near accommodations. Sports include miniature golf, tennis, shuffleboard, football, basketball, and table tennis (surcharges may apply; rental equipment subject to availability). A complimentary fitness room provides cardio equipment and free weights. Two game rooms are also available.

A kid's club is open year-round for ages 2–12 (must be toilet trained) and includes arts and crafts, board games, and other organized activities (surcharges). An evening activities program offers live tiger shows, karaoke, bingo, and happy hours (surcharges). Bicycle rentals include two- and four-seat surrey bikes. Cycling and jogging are permitted within the expansive grounds.

The Orlando area offers numerous golf courses. The Orange County National Golf Center is a 36-hole championship course with driving range and nine-hole walking course. It is located 9.5 miles from the resort and is open to the public.

“ok but not great for westgate wont go back there”

Ok but shouldn't get bugged about buying there condos if just renting as package the whole place was under construction, they dont let you use there ammenities unless you pay $10 a day or go on a tour,and as far as having 16 heated pools are pool was as cold as they get .

“Have stayed before will stay again.”

I have stayed here in the past with my family and plan on returning in the future. We enjoy all of the ammenities on property and have found the service friendly and efficient. The rooms are large and set up nicely to envoke a family enviroment. We got caught in a rain storm this visit - and decided to go to look in on the childrens activities and ended up making pillow cases for a small fee - we had a blast. Thank you.

“Not Impressed”

My family and I came to Westgate Town Center with the hopes of a resort full of amenities as advertised on their website. Only to find that the "free shuttles" to the parks were full so we had to drive both days and pay 20 dollars to park. The minigolf, paddleboats and bike rentals did not even open until noon....who wants to ride a bike at noon in florida? The resort was full of people who were offered a cut rate for a three day stay in hopes that they would buy a time share...I however paid full price and was at the mercy of a resort packed full of people and amenities overflowing their capacity. I would not recommend this place at all!

“Cool!!”

A great place to stay, but I think it's better if you book your stay with they, because they said Expedia can change the reservation at the last minute, how they try to do with me. Kids enjoy it, clean resort really convinience the location so close to Disney. I just have one problem with the bed, but they replace it as soon they can. I will go again to the same place.!!

“Would not try again”

This "Hotel" was a unit at a resort that is mostly timeshares. The management says they use the rentals as a way for new people to see the units, but were not pushy in any way about sales. It would have been excellent except for the neighbors.... Unfortunately, the families at the building I was in were EXTREMELY noisy, especially in the pool until 1-2am so that sleep was nearly impossible. As they were timeshare owners, the resort would not enforce its own noise policies. I DEFINATELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR ANY REASON

“Would not recommend this place at all. Not worth the price for the hassles you have to endure.”

The check-in process took almost an hour, then they take you directly to a sales person who tries to get you to take a 3 hour tour and try to get you to buy a timeshare. The Front Desk was always a mad house and we never got help when we asked. When Housekeeping did a light cleaning they took all the towels but did not replace them, had to call for more but they brought mostly hand towel and face cloths. They called and promised us breakfast but then told us we couldn't have it unless the sales guy went with us, it was suppose to be at 10 am but two hours later he called and said we could now do it. This was our vacation, he should have been on our time, not us on his. We felt they always lied to us. The parking was totally messed up, people were allowed to park on the street and it was difficult to get out of the property at times. The parking lot was never filled up so it made no sense why they allow people to park wherever they wanted. We don't recommend this place to anyone, it was cheap but like to saying goes, you get what you paid for.

“Alot of walking, RENTAL CAR IS A MUST!!!”

Overall I enjoyed my 5 day stay but there were a few things that you need to know...RENTAL CAR IS A MUST! Although they have shuttle to take you to the parks, you have to sign up a day in advance and the times to pick up from parks are early 7PM. Next, was a 2 hour wait time to get into our room because its a resort and extremely busy....they told us we could check in early but nothing was ready so we eventually waited. There is ALOT of walking because the resort is huge, so be prepared because you can not rent their golf carts to get around. And most of the kid activities you had to pay for on the resort, even the water slide moon bounce. They have a small convenient store but its extremely expensive so grocery shop outside of the resort.

There is so much to do just at the hotel! It was a wonderful and inexpensive experience.

“This place was awesome!! Great place to stay!! Clean, lots of room, Great location!!”

Westgate is the cleanest place we have ever stayed, lots of room, we had a huge whirl pool tub in our room, great kitchen & patio, huge living room, they really keep this place nice, the staff was very nice & there was 13 swimming pools & hot tubs, it was in a great location! Great view from the patio!! I will tell everyone I know to stay here!! We even got to see fireworks every night out on the patio from Disney. There was also activites to do there everyday!! Its was Awesome & we can't wait to go back........

Area recommendations

I would recommend Kissimmee or Orlando, because that is where Disney World & Universal Studios is located & there is so much more also!!!

When to go

We went to Universal Suudios for Spring Break, and it wasnt as packed as it usually is when we go Thanksgiving week or Christmas week, March is the best time to go, weather is just right!!!

Must see

Universal Studios, its so much fun.......Also if you go to Daytona Beach you mush check out Daytona Flea & Farmers Market, so much stuff there, its huge..
