A large patio houses a 15 x 30-foot splash pool, a small children's pool, and a spa tub. Other facilities include two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court, a playground, and a video arcade (surcharge). A fitness room provides two stationary bikes, free weights, and strength-training equipment. Supervised children's activities such as movies, swimming, and arts and crafts are available on select evenings (surcharge).

Guests enjoy preferred tee times at the five golf courses in the Walt Disney World® Resort, including the 18-hole Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, two miles from the hotel. “Couldn't beat the price.”

We decided to try this hotel as it was advertised at a great rate throuh Expedia special pricing. We were definetly pleasantly, surprised and will come back to stay again. Our room was not in the main tower but in a side wing and besides clean and very well maintained, it was nicely decorated.

Area recommendations

I prefer the Lake Buena Vista area because it's a beautifully landscaped area close to Downtown Disney, Outlet shopping and not far from Disney World resorts and parks. Unlike the "International Drive" area which resembles somewhat of a "Las Vegas" style area (but more family oriented) with lots of attractions, lights, traffic and noise.

“Old hotel and over priced”

I have stayed at a couple Wyndhams and now have been this old and out dated. Bathrooms are very small, old and out dated. Sheets are obviously old as are the beds, grounds are ok, staff was very nice but I would never stay here again.

“Not impressed”

For being on Disney property I had expected a more comfortable hotel room . Being an outdoor type room truly is what gave it the feel that disappointed me so there may not be much to do about it. But having a plain decor and a bathroom door that was very hard to close didn't help.

“Hotel Clean, Staff Helpful and Kind, Location Great”

Hotel was clean and well organized. Staff was most courteous and helpful. Everything was very clean and well cared for. Location is great, across from Disney Downtown and an easy bus ride to the parks.

“Location makes up for less notable factors.”

The location of this hotel is perfect for those who enjoy shopping and dining at Downtown Disney. It is just a quick walk across the intersection, and you are there! We travel to this hotel every year for the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Friday we shop at Downtown Disney, Saturday we do the festival. It's a perfect weekend. Even though the hotel is not as clean as I'd like, the convenience can't be beat. We did notice this year that they had some improvements, such as new linens, a new TV, and a new coffee maker. The bathroom has some deferred maintenance, and could benefit from new floors and bathtub fixtures. Overall, we were pleased to see some effort at improvements, and hope they will continue to enhance the rooms. The little food mart in the lobby is also very convenient, though I wish they would expand the menu options.

Area recommendations

We would recommend Disney attractions, primarily because that is the only reason we travel to Orlando. We love to take our grandchildren, and make family trips as well.

Shopping

If you love fine perfumes, and exquisite hair clips, you must visit the French pavillion at Epcot. One of my new favorites is the Twining's Tea room, with a wonderful selection of fine teas, and lovely gifts. The Chinese pavillion has a huge gift shop with very reasonable prices. Finally, one of the best places in Epcot for earrings (especially if you never have enough) is at the Mexican pavillion.

Events and shows

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is the best! This year they added a new band at the British pavillion that was fantastic. They also featured the band "Off Kilter" at the Canadian pavillion. It was very fun, and very interesting to taste so much international food. I would not recommend taking small children to this event, however, as they would not enjoy it as much as their parents!

“Great location for a reasonable rate”

I love staying in the Downtown Disney area. I had wanted to stay at this hotel because of the pool. It was too cold to go in, but the pool looked great in person. Manicured lawns; clean hotel. The room was nice, although I did feel a bit cramped (not too much room to walk in front of beds). Parking was great and hotel easy to navigate. The character breakfast was also very nice. The kids got to see Pluto and Goofy and the buffet was varied and satisfying. Definitely would go back again. Hotel was also close to Giordano's and Golden Corral, which we love to eat at. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the soundproofing was between rooms. With a standard room, I didn't hear any of our neighbors or people walking outside in the halls. Felt very private.

I love staying in the Downtown Disney area. We love going to hang out at night in the area.

“The worst customer service!!!”

The hotel was under construction when we arrived, the man who did the check in never mention this, and when we got to our room we could not pass, we had to go around the hotel to find another elevator. The experience was very unpleasant. The room was fine!
