HARD TO FIND/PARK

Posted Jan 28, 2015
HOTEL IS NOT ON INTERNATIONAL DRIVE AS THEIR ADDRESS WOULD HAVE YOU TO BELIEVE. IT IS ON SAND SOMETHING AND CAN NOT BE SEEN FROM INTERNATIONAL DRIVE IN THE DARK. CALL FOR DIRECTIONS AND BE PREPARED TO PAY A $20 HOTEL FEE FOR NOTHING MORE THAN OTHER HOTELS INCLUDE IN THEIR PRICE. ALSO PARKING WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE.

Pros: Location and setting (landscaping)
Cons: give 8 ounce water bottle each day
Location: International drive, trolley stop, good restaurants, good shopping
Near International Drive and the OCCC. Within walking distance of many restaurants. At at restaurant adjoining Wyndham. Excellent. Poolside restaurant also excellent.

Resort?

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: The service at the pool lounge was friendly and very accommodating. The pool area is large and clean. The lounge in the reception area was nice.
Location: Close to Universal which means far from Disney. Restaurants nearby were good with lots of variety to choose from.
As a single traveler I was concerned about security. I was initially assigned to a room OUTSIDE of the locked interior rooms (801) despite being clear about my concerns. Not a good start. I was moved to an interior room but the building entrance lock was broken and the promised patio door bar device had been removed. The resort is not fenced or secured. My room was tidied each day but replenishment of coffee, water etc. was spotty at best. I was told to tip housekeeping by putting the money in an envelope and giving it to the manager. (????) The bed was comfortable. Towels were replenished each day. For me the shuttle was a good value to Disney and Universal but I'd say if you're travelling with 2 or more people to use a taxi to and from the airport as it works out to the same cost and it's at your convenience. The shuttle to Disney takes about 40 minutes and to Universal about 10 depending on traffic of course.

Downtown Orlando - my view was of parking lot.

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: I really liked the outdoor scenery.
Cons: Improvement could be the added on fees for wifi, fitness area, etc. Also, I think that maybe some indoor rooming would be nice.
Location: Location was key for me since I was going to the Convention Center. I liked being able to walk to a few bars and shops.
At first I didn't like that the rooms were outside instead of inside but the whole place grew on me. I really loved the courtyard and all the seating areas. The bar was fabulous as well as the pool bar and it was convenient having starbucks coffee, shuttles, taxis, and helpful staff in the lobby each morning and night.

There were so many things wrong.

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: See above experiences.
Cons: Most staff was nice and friendly but could use more training. Improve on cleanliness of rooms. Get rid of smell in halls. etc.
Location: Orlando - lots to do including outlet malls, Disney, Universal, Epcot, etc. A wonderful tourist town.
We can start with poor directions to find the hotel. Move on to the tight parking conditiions. To the construction being done, to a resort charge for a stay of less than 24 hours, to the dust in the room and the smell in the hallway. Could go on but shall not.

Not worth the money

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Spending a decent amount a night I would expect alot more from this place. When checking in we were asked if we wanted a balcony and if course we said yes when arriving to the reject building far away from all the amenities we found there was no balcony and it's set up like a motel. Once in the room it present very clean and looked modern but if you look real close you can see the rush on finishing the rooms. Our room had the the lights driving water in the shower and nearly falling out of the wall. No water pressure and it went in and out during the shower. You have to pay for WiFi which I could of went to a really cheap hotel and got free WiFi. Room service came around like 930. After the smoke detector went off at 940 for a second. Overall I believe this place is just an upgraded motel
