A little priceycompared to others in the Area

Posted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
When I spend over 130 in Tucson area, I would have expected a more resort type of motel. What I got was a slightly larger (dated) standard motel room. Room was clean and quiet. There were plates, silverware, microwave, sink and refrigerator in the room :>) Pool area and Spa was adequate. Included Breakfast was good. Used included Wi-Fi in the room and outdoor patio to read emails. No Exercise equipment. Fast Food and Grocery Store is a half mile away. Don't think about getting Food after 7pm without driving. I'm sad to say that this appears to be an overflow motel. i.e. for people that haven't booked early enough at the other more convenient nearby motels and are willing to spend extra for the location. Centrally located, Biosphere is 20 miles and Mt Lemon is 30 miles

Staycation with friends!

The staff is very helpful. Room was bigger than I had thought(always a plus) and the view from the pool and spa- fabulous! There was even an outdoor grill if you wanted to cook your own lunch or dinner. The breakfast was great and met all our different morning needs!

Nice hotel, located just below the mountains

Posted Dec 26, 2013
Pros: The rooms and the hotel it self is nice and in a good location.
Cons: It would be nice if the hotel would add a cook to order breakfast or at least put in a waffle maker.
Location: It has a beautiful view of the mountains in the breakfast and pool area. Shopping is across the street and lots of hiking available.
Nice hotel located just below the mountains. Rooms where nice and could actually accommodate party of 5. Breakfast has a lot to be desired though. Very lame- cold cereal, boiled eggs, oatmeal, turkey sausage (yuck),cooked potatoes( from frozen state),scrambled eggs( in a steamer),mixed fresh fruit( tasted horrible, saturated in the juices for way too long). Only somewhat redeeming option was the pancake machine. Due to the lack of decent food,we only ate breakfast one day at the hotel. I guess I am spoiled by staying at the Embassy Suites frequently and their great cooked to order omelets and breakfast options. Other than the breakfast ,the hotel is nice and clean with a nice staff.

clean close but noisy

Posted Nov 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
the place was clean and comfy. but apparently the hotels .com online booking gets you the room next to the elvator shaft every single time. noisy to the point that you need earplugs to sleep i have stayed in a lot worse rooms, but this wins for noisiest

Very nice hotel in Oro Valley

Pros: great breakfast
We stayed in the hotel while visiting friends in Oracle and Tuscon, for which the location was great. The room was very spacious with a sofa, desk and a small kitchenette (refrigerator and sink). Everything looked very new and very clean. The breakfast was great, with hot and cold items (eggs, sausages, pancakes, oatmeal, bagels, pastry etc.). There was also a pool (which we didn't use), but with great views of the nearby mountains.
