“Very nice villas”
The villa was very nice, clean, comfortable. The area was great. We felt safe.
“Great place to stay!”
We stayed here from 11/3-11/13/10. The area is beautiful. Golf Villa's upgraded us to a 3 bedroom (we had 5), for part of our stay at no additional cost. They were extremely accomodating, and very friendly. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool area is great. Here are my only complaints: 1. There are no cleaning supplies in the villas, so if you don't pay for daily maid service, you have no way to clean your own unit. 2. the airconditioning/heating system is extremely loud. 3. There are not enough cooking items..ie, pots & pans etc. otherwise, we enjoyed our stay immensely. He went to Biosphere 2, which teenagers and kids would enjoy, we did an ATV (4 wheeler) adventure in Florence Arizona that was phenominal (albeit expensive). We wen to Sabino Canyon which is a must. Lots of good restaraunts in the area and lots of activities to choose from. We also went shopping in TUBAC, arizona. This is an upscale, swanky place, so don't expect to find 3 for $10 shirts. But worth the drive down there. (we had to go through border patrol on the way back even though it's 25 miles from the mexican border, but it was smooth and quick).
“Sunny experience”
Our 2-bedroom villa was very comfortable and in good condition. The views across the golf course were pleasant and the pool and jacuzzi functioned well. Sitting outside on the terrace to watch the sun set was a real treat, yet with some noise from road traffic some 500 yards away. The restaurant across La Canada Drive at the Hilton El Conquistador Golf Resort had good food and friendly service. All in all a sunny 3-day experience.
“Best value in Tucson -- Will stay there again”
My reservation was for a One Bedroom Villa, but they gave me a Two Bedroom Deluxe unit at the same rate. Pool was very nice with lap lanes. On golf course and close to shopping. Best stay I've ever had in numerous trips to Tucson area.
“Home away from home.”
Great place to stay ! Came in to watch a college football game and was very surprised to have a home away from home. Large rooms, full size kitchen all around great stay. We will come back.
“All the comforts of home, plus some!”
I gave the Quality of Service a "2" because somone used a key and walked into our condo while we were napping in the middle of the afternoon. We didn't pay for daily room service (which was an option), nor had we asked for anything from housekeeping, so I'm not sure why someone entered our condo. Next time I'll be sure to put out the Do Not Disturb sign. I gave the Condition/Maintenance a "4" because the bathroom faucet dripped and the shower fixture shot water up to the ceiling. There was visible damage to the ceiling above the shower, which could have been prevented with a new fixture. Perhaps Housekeeping never turns the shower on - or they don't look up. Price was GREAT! Surroundings were GREAT! The hotel staff was GREAT! The individual units were very right next to each other, but the layout of the building made every deck/bancony private. The pool looked GREAT (it had gas grills for the guests to use), however we didn't choose to swim or use a grill. I would DEFINITELY recommend The Golf Villas At Oro Valley to everyone - and we will definitely come back if were ever in the area.
“Worth every penny!”
The Villas were clean and spacious. Our stay was only for 3 days and it would have helped if they had housekeeping service at least to bring fresh towels as the dryer in the unit was inadequate for drying clothes. (We were aware of no housekeeping staff services (due to seasonal reasons) prior to check-in, so there was no surprise.) We notified the front desk of the dryer problem upon departure and they stated they would repair it. I would definitely consider staying at the Villas on our next trip to Tucson!
“Excellent spot, even if you don't golf”
Great room, very spacious (which is important when you're travelling with two children). The kitchen had everything we needed and the A/C kept the room sufficiently cool when it was over 100 degrees outside.
“Good for longer stays”
Not merely a hotel room. This is a furnished apartment (1-2 bedrooms--booked 1 and was upgraded to a two bedroom). Comfortable modern style furnishings but a bit worn (eg. missing knobs on dresser drawers). Typical apartment with pool. On golf course. Convenient to suburbs, bike trails, etc. Far from mid-town or highway. Shopping centers nearby for food etc with chain restaurants. Residential neighborhood (apart from Hilton across street).
“Enjoyed Tucson”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Oro Valley Golf Villas. We don't golf and just wanted to get away. It cost us the same or less than a big name suite that would have been much smaller. We are a family of five and we had plenty of room. We enjoyed the pool and our first encounter with a tarantula spider.
