Loved the view across the river and rock tombs. Spacious suite with large bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. However, it is a good 10 - 15 minute walk to centre of town along a mostly unshaded street. Breakfast excellent.

Berg Hotel - Dalayan, perfect holiday, hidden Gem
Our first visit to Dalayan and the Berg Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful from it minute we booked. This is a family run hotel and take pride in hospitality. It was my husbands birthday and Servet, the owner upgraded us to a suite as a birthday present. So kind. Lovely room on the ground floor, very clean, nice ensuite bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Lovely pool, resturant over looks the river, buffet breakfast, good variety, just let them know how you want your eggs. Between 4pm and 6pm they serve tea, coffee and cakes, by the river. Ten minute walk into town, past lots of resturants, i recommend The Lime and Carretta, Dalayano good for music and drinks. Water taxi from town to the beach every half an hour and will pick up and drop off at The Berg if you ask. The hotel is directly on the river and fantastic views of the rock tombs. We will deffinatly go back again soon.

Fantastic family run hotel nothing is any bother to them they will arrange anything you need location is great and easy to get into town room was cleaned every day and towels changed daily staff are very polite and helpful would recommend a stay lovely view of the river from pool area

Fabulous hotel.
A return visit to Dalyan and first time staying at this lovely hotel. We booked in for 3 nights but extended it to 4 as we were so relaxed here. It’s in a great position on the river with a fabulous view of the Lycian rock tombs. It’s worth being a ten minute walk away from the main bars and restaurants as the peace and quiet is wonderful. You can spend all day in the hotel by the pool, or on the terrace with a breeze or next to the river watching all the activity and the turtle that visits several times a day. Very pleasant staff and a great breakfast. Spotlessly clean. We look forward to a return visit.

A group of 6 of us stayed for 4 nights & had a fabulous stay. The location & views were amazing, right on the river. The staff were friendly & very efficient, the rooms & pool were spotless. The ambiance was calm & relaxing. We would definitely stay again should we go back to Dalyan.

Nice place to stay, perfect view of kaunos graves. Breakfast was delicius. Hotel is very close to restourant area by walking. We took taxi boats to iztuzu beach, this takes about 30min from hotel. Hotel rooms are not special but enough for 2-3 night stays.

Great position looking down the river and fantastic views across to the rock tombs. Lovely restaurant , bar. Small pool but perfectly adequate. Room was comfortable and clean, only downside was a bright light outside until the early hours.

A little piece of heaven
Met with a really warm welcome. With nothing too much bother for any member of staff to do for you . Cleanliness was second to none. And the whole experience made for a really relaxing and wonderful stay. Good mix of nationalities staying at the hotel, so not dominated by British holiday makers. Couldn’t fault it.

From Dalyan to Patara
We had a wonderful stay in Flower Pension, good sized rooms. Excellent location, lovely friendly family owners and staff. Good mix of travellers and very reasonably priced. We loved Patara and will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality!

Lovely find for eight friends, heaven.
Such lovely stay, the staff couldn't have done more. Friendly, beautiful rooms, although watch your head in the upstairs rooms as they are quite low going out on the terrace and into the bathroom. Great choice at breakfast,fabulous views. Lovely pool area, all very cosy.

Excellent Hotel
We have stayed at the Berg before and this time it did not disappoint. Servat and Vildan the owners are so nice. The rooms are spotlessly clean as was all the other areas of the Hotel. The staff made our holiday memorable, they are caring kind and attentive at all times. The Hotel is a 5 minute walk into the town with restaurants and a small supermarket even nearer. The fact that the Hotel is right on the river is a massive bonus because having breakfast is an absolute pleasure watching the boats go down the river and the odd turtle popping up. The breakfast was excellent loads of choice and lots of homemade food. We also ate in the hotel most lunchtimes in the evenings sometimes and the food was excellent. We will have no hesitation in going back again, and can't rate the Hotel highly enough. Thank you so much to the Berg Hotel for a fantastic holiday once again.

The hotel is fabulous, Servet, Vildan and their staff couldn't do enough for you. You were made to feel extremely welcome, the whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the rooms very comfortable. The views from the hotel onto the river and tombs were spectacular. We will definitely be returning and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. See you all soon.

Probably the best hotel in Dalyan
Friendly staff, very clean hotel, very comfortable rooms, Slow wifi, no view from the rooms, except for a suite in the second floor. Food was OK, not great. Dalyan is frequented by budget oriented tourists, this is probably the highest standard that Dalyan can afford.

Spent 10 days in July 2015 and everything good I had read about this hotel before I went was true....and more! Clean, perfect location, friendly staff, and anything you asked or wanted was met with a friendly or efficient response, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. I arrived at the airport late so they sent someone to pick me up, I was met by the owner the next morning and shown around and was made to feel completely at home. The husband and wife who run the hotel are an absolute pleasure and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

we stayed at the Berg Hotel for 7 days in June. lovely small hotel with a pool lovely kept grounds. The owner and his wife and all the staff where excellent. Our room was clean and had a Jacuzzi which we where upgraded by the owner. The breakfast is a cold buffet which was very good, in the evening they served tea with a dessert which was also delicious. They also so do lunch and dinner at request, the drinks where the same price as you would pay if you went out for a meal or just drinks. It was quiet at the hotel which was perfect for us as we just wanted a relaxing break. I would recommend this hotel and we will be going back but not in June as it was extremely hot. We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone at the Berg Hotel.

History, Nature, Sun, Sand, and Turtles all close!
I stayed at the Berg Hotel for one night while on an environmentally-related business trip. It would have been great to spend some additional time there and I hope to return with my family. Servet and Vildan were exceptionally attentive hosts, very welcoming, and went way beyond the norm in providing service and helping me get around. The dinner there was great and the breakfast a typical Turkish breakfast with an omlet. The hotel is small and well kept, with a dining area overlooking the river with a spectacular view of the tombs carved into the cliffs opposite. The ruins of Caunos are a short walk away once you cross the river. The neighborhood is essentially small boutique hotels but you are only a 5-10 min. walk to shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. You can easily get an inexpensive dolmus bus from the town center to the Itzuzu Beach - a gorgeous 4 km stretch of beach - and visit the Turtle Rescue Center located there. The beach is a nesting site for endangered Loggerhead turtles but nesting areas are marked and protected. If you walk the 4 km down the beach you can pick up a boat back up river to your hotel. The landscape is very pretty and the area is perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Truly impressive
My husband and I stayed at the Berg Hotel for a night after a late flight to Dalaman Airport. The owner and the staff were all friendly, very helpful, and welcoming. I would give 5+ for cleanliness: our room was spotlessly clean, and the towels and linens fresh. The furniture looked all new and the room was tastefully decorated. It was just what we needed after a tiring week and flight from London. The hotel is a pleasant stroll away from the bars and the riverside promenade - so it was nice and quiet. We did not get to use the pool this time around. The breakfast was fresh, filling, and was set to a wonderful view by the water. We will be back, and recommend Berg Hotel to others.

The Berg Hotel is perfectly situated on the riverfront and ten minutes walk from Dalyan town centre. It has grand views of the tombs opposite, and offers a row boat ride over to the far shore from where you can walk to the ruins of Kaunos. The room was spotless, the staff very friendly and helpful. I can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Great location ,Great staff at the Berg Hotel
We had a fantastic holiday at the Berg Hotel. This was our first visit to Turkey and we will visit again and stay at The Berg. If you are looking for a great location with stunning views and excellent staff, this is the place for you. The food was great and the staff looked after us amazingly well. All the rooms and furniture were brand new and terraced rooms are available. The location is exceptional as you can have your food overlooking the 3000 year old tombs of kaunos which are lit up in the evening with snow capped mountains and a river as a backdrop. The hotel is right on the waterfront and is within easy access of the Turtle beach and other attractions. We will come again and stay at the Berg Hotel. What a great holiday.

We felt like part of the family.
Due to a late first flight to Istanbul, we missed our flight to Dalaman and had no choice but to fly 8 hours later to Bodrum which is a 2 1/2 hour drive away from Dalyan. We cancelled our original taxi pick up at Dalaman and called Berg hotel to let them know we would have a very late check in. The owner immediately offered to pick us up himself! So he made the 5 hour round trip in torrential rain insisting the family would love to invite us for a fish supper, what a feast. The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. The lovely lady that prepared us breakfast noticed we liked the quince jam, which turned out to be homemade, next day she appeared with a jar for us. I could list several other kindnesses that took place during our short 4 night stay (January 2015) but you get the picture...

PLUS Great location with views. Very pleasant staff. Comfortable bed and sofa bed. Nice breakfast, but fairly ordinary by Turkish standards. As usual, no coffee apart from instant. We ate once in the evening and the fish was delicious. Pretty garden by pool. Not so plus: a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom; we had a suite and it (I'm not sure that they are all the same) didn't seem terribly well designed for all visitor set ups: the bathroom is off the bedroom, so is difficult to use during the night without disturbing the sleeper; when the sofa bed is out, there's no room to sit in the sitting area. For sitting out/balconies/terraces, not all rooms are equally nice and we had one of the least good ones- down the lefthand side of the entrance corridor. Signs to the hotel from further out in town would be helpful- the only ones we saw were when we were already close to it. Nevertheless, I'd be happy to stay there again, but would ask for a different room.

We stayed for a week the hotel is in a lovely setting on the river ,staff are lovely and just leave you to get on with it unless you need anything ,we had a suite which was very comfortable,we did not have a great view from our balcony ,but never used it much anyway .the best spot was at breakfast watching the world go by 10 minutes from town ,which made the hotel lovely and peacefull,small pool with lovely sun loungers and seating areas ,look forward to returning next year ,

Paradise oasis
The best view of the tombs are in this paradise oasis hotel. The owner, Berk and the entire staff were friendly and the service was always with a smile. Breakfast and the 5:00 o'clock tea time were always a special treat. The hotel rooms were always clean and the beds comfortable to sleep in. You will not be disappointed for booking this hotel.

We were picked up and dropped at the bus station by the owners. Great service. The family hotel is in a scenic location on the river and also easy walking distance to town. They offered a scrambled egg option with breakfast which was a change from the regular boiled egg option in Turkey. They have complimentary tea and cake in the afternoon. We would have loved to stay longer.

nice hotel in lovely location
I came to stay in Dalyan after a trip between Fethiye and Kas. This hotel was in a great location on the river, not too far from the main parade of bars, restaurants etc but far away enough to feel peaceful. Some of the boats heading to turtle beach will even pick you up / drop off from the hotel. The view of the tombs was unrivalled and there was a lovely terrace for breakfast, which itself was delicious. Nice pool area (is only a small pool) with a good number of loungers. The rooms were spot on, great shower and super clean. The staff were very kind and helpful so overall it was a very pleasant stay. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't really have a bar area so is very quiet in the evenings. I think that suited most of the people there but it was missing in my opinion.

Perfect location directly across the river from the Lycian tombs, with a nice up-river view of town. The breakfast room and riverside deck were magical. The grounds were lovely. The hotel is located right on the river with a view of the Lycian tombs from the deck and restaurant. Berk and his staff are very friendly and helpful. If you order in advance they also cook dinner which was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
