“nice surprise”
we had a very nice room and the staff was friendly.
“Worst night of sleep...EVER!”
This hotel look nice based on Expedia's pictures. The hotel lobby also seemed nice. We brought our bags up to our room and immediately noticed an odor. The room was warm and muggy, and the odor/humidity never went away no matter how long the AC ran. There was a door that led to the neighboring room, and we heard everything (TV, conversations, etc) from the guests staying next door. Those neighbors and their TV were loud all night and it took three calls to the front desk at 4am before we heard their phone ring (because we could hear everything happening in their room) asking them to quiet down. The bed and sheets were extremely uncomfortable. We woke up with stiff backs and exhausted. I highly recommend you find a different hotel. Noisy, smelly, and dirty rooms with uncomfortable beds and linens. Needless to say, we won't be back.
“Nice but some issues”
Friendly staff, but they put us in the wrong room so had to ask to be moved. We were supposed to have a suite with a balcony but the balcony was only a sliding door and a railing attached to the outside of the building. There was no microwave or stove in the room as we expected in a suite with a kitchenette. There were a few cosmetic issue with the room such as torn drywall, poor caulking in the bathroom and cracked flooring. Room was clean. Bathroom was average. Bed was good. Pool was great. It was quiet but we stayed mid week so keep that in mind. Scenery was good and parking was easy. We ordered the take out breakfast from the hotel restaurant. Wouldn't recommend doing this. They didn't provide plates and the toast was only bread in the original manufacturer bag, not toasted at all. Food was bland, have had better at Denney's and hotels with free breakfast bars. They have a rudimentary private boat launch which was the deciding factor for staying at this hotel for our family as we wanted to use our boat. You need to ask the staff for a special key to use the boat launch area.
“OUTDATED AND IN NEED OF REPAIR”
Where to begin. The front desk was extremely helpful and courteous although neglecting to give us the pass needed to enjoy the amenities such as the pool. Finding a place to park was extremely difficult and when we went into our villa we had to call housekeeping for a coffee craft which was missing. However, we found it in the dishwasher the next day. We also had to call for a blanket for our son who was sleeping on sofa bed. The worse though was the bed in the 2nd bedroom. We ended up sleeping on the floor because the bed springs were coming up everywhere. I also stepped on a piece of what I think was the side of the pool as I was swimming. I would not go here again especially with the price you pay for these rooms.
“Dated Disrepair”
The hotel is older and needs maintenance. Everything was clean, just heavily used. At one time I'm sure it could command the prices they are asking. However, now it seems like it is priced too high. It wasn't a bad experience, I guess I just expected more for my money.
“Great for Business trips”
I have stayed at the Country Club hotel multiple times. I am excited to go back.
“would definatly go back”
Our Jr. Suite room was clean and had a beautiful view of the lake and golf course. Everything seemed to work right but on Friday afternoon they drained the hot tub for cleaning and it was closed until Sat. afternoon. The pool areas were nice and clean but since I'm undergoing chemo treatments for leukemia I didnt get to swim. The 2 pool tables are very worn out and dirty.
“Can't wait to go back.”
I loved the hotel. Loved the price and would love to stay there again.
“old clean hotel”
nice thotel, but gave me a creapy feel when we first enter the lounge. OLD STYLE.
“Nice spa & restaurant”
We had a wonderful meal and great spa services during our stay. The room left a little to be desired. We stayed off season, Saturday and Sunday evening, so the room was not too expensive. Sunday morning the cleaning staff read the note wrong and thought we were checking out even though the note she held was marked SO for "stay over", not CO for "check out". Monday morning, before our wake-up call, a man opened our room door. We called out that we were in there and he apologized and left. I'm guessing they did not have their best staff during the off season.
