Bad choice for lake weekend

Posted Sep 2, 2014
The hotel was dirty. Carpets were terrible. The pools were poorly maintained. No made service. The Associates working there seem to care very little about anything. Looks like it could go out of business any day.

wedding dress hunt weekend

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Great location for shopping and restaurants
Cons: ice machine
Location: The Mall was nearby and the dress designer was within 10 miles for my bride to say yes to the dress. Mama was happy and the bride to be was happy.
my daughter, two brides maids and myself booked a room last minute to spend a day bridal dress shopping in the Lake area. Our room had plenty of space and we had a nice time. The ice machine on our floor was broke but that is the only negative we encountered. Thanks Expedia

Pros: Proximity to attractions, and price range.
Cons: Additional front desk staff during busy check in and check out times. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful
Location: It is very close to the lake, and many lakeside attractions, night life, and golf.
The hotel was very nice and clean, and in a convenient, yet quiet setting. The grounds were well maintained, and offered amenities that would appeal to a variety of ages and interests.

Hotel was not as advertised. Facility is in need of maintenance and repair. No A/C in the hallways. Rented a Jr Suite. Hotel room doors to the hallway were all scratched and marked. Tile repairs needed in hotel room. No TV in bathroom - not needed but was advertised as having one. No DVD or VCR. Old tube television. Bed and bedding were clean but the couch and chairs were stained. Not much of a view from the hotel room windows. Sliding door type windows but no balcony. Outside pool deck area concrete cracked and in need of repair. Pool water did not look clean. No pool chairs in sight. Front desk employee at check-in was very nice, friendly and helpful as was the manager.

It is a very old facility, in need of a total remodel. No lake access and not really close to anything. I would stay there again if I were looking for a cheap place to stay, but it would need to be under $89.00 per night.

Overall very disappointing

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The spa staff was very good and that area seems very well kept.
Upon arrival to the room, it was disappointing. The carpet was stained and worn, and the walls had a lot of marks on them. There were places where the ceiling had been patched. In the bathroom there was patching that was not completely covered. The entire hotel seems very run down.

Very Outdated.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The roominess.
Cons: It needs lots of technological updates and cosmetic updates. We had no internet connection in our room (even though we were told it had internet)
Location: The location was great.
This hotel could be top notch with updating. There were large stains on our carpet, and the hallways smelled of smoke. The sheets and bedspread were extremely old. Even though we were given an internet wifi password, we had no internet in our room. The room was very roomy. The health club/pool guy was extremely helpful, friendly and polite. It would be nice if the indoor pool stayed open later than 10 (we were there for a dance team convention and the girls didn't get done until almost 10 at night. The pool area also needed updating. . .the restaurant was NEVER open the entire time we were there, except for once (where I don't think it was actually open, but the bartender did hesitate and then let us sit down. It took over an hour for our food to get there.

Nice, clean place.

As of mid July 2014, it's under new ownership for a month or two. The restaurant was closed while we were there, but they say it's open on weekends. We were there mid week. The weight room is fully equipped. It has both indoor & out door pools. It looks like they are doing it right and taking their time making changes. Right now, the value for you r buck is very good.
