It was a great place to stay but there was construction going on during the day time from about 10-4pm every day

The hotel was really close to the train station. As soon as you exited the station you were able to see it. The room was Japanese size so it was smaller than any average room by western standards. Nonetheless it was sufficient. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. A simple addition that was welcomed was we got towels and toothbrushes in different colours. So it was easy to distinguish which one belonged to who. That was nice.

Decent, clean, comfortable hotel
Staff was professional and friendly. I liked the system which you receive bottled water when you don’t need your bed remade. Room service simply replaces the amenities. The only thing I would point out is that it would be nicer if there was a bit more variety of food in the breakfast buffet menu.

Basic but comfortable
This hotel is right next to the train station, so it is extremely convenient if you're just passing through. The overall quality of the hotel pretty good, and I don't have anything to complain about. The restaurant where they served breakfast was quaint and good, and I found the staff very friendly. The room itself was clean and fairly well maintained, so I don't have any complaints there. You probably won't be overwhelmed by anything here, either. It's functional and comfortable, and that's just what I needed. Okay, one complaint was that after about 8:00pm, I noticed huge drops in internet speed, but during the day, when I needed it for work, it was fine.

Less than 20 hours transit at Osaka
The fresh market is great with the midnight restaurants serving tempura and sasimi. But the izakaya， Shiro Kiya (居酒屋白木屋）that the front desk recommended was so so. Expensive and tasteless. Starbuck is right situated at the station.

I stayed for 8 nights.
Stayed at Sakai Ekimae for 8 nights. The staff are friendly, the free Wifi is great, the room size is small, the aircon works well, the service by staff is great, the beds are hard, the pillow are ridiculous (maybe not for those accustomed to them), staff secured our bags before check-in and after check-out allowing us to explore, the location is great with a lot of good eateries and a shopping centre. Would stay here again.

Very close to the station. I have stayed in many Japanese business hotels, and this was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The room was in good condition but the bed was too soft and the pillows very thin. Reception staff were courteous and efficient. There was traffic noise if you kept the window open at night.

Right next to train station of Sakai
You can see the hotel from the train. Rooms are small, but that is normal in Japan. You can squeeze two people into the room. The food at the restaurant is not cheap, and was cheaper at other APA hotels, but maybe each APA is different. Front desk staff are very helpful and nice.

Very close to Sakai Station. If you are not a smoker make sure you ask for anon smoking room. Our room was so small we could barely walk in it. Its a fairly quiet location, very clean. Some staff speak English. Breakfast isn't worth it.

Nice and Clean Hotel (5mins from Electric Railway)
The staffs at front desk are friendly but they speak little English. The room is clean, quiet and well equipped. But it is a bit small for a standard room (single) as compared to hotels in other countries I have visited. There is a shopping center, family mart, Starbucks, supermarket, pastry shop and restaurants all within 5 minutes walking distance. It is located between KIX and main town Osaka. Hence, it will be a good choice of accommodation for one who is expected to arrival late at night. It is located within 5 minutes walking distance from Sakai Station (Nankai Electric Railway). From Sakai Station, one can take the train to Shin-Imamiya Station to hop on to the Osaka Loop Line that takes you to many places of interest within Osaka.

Just south of Osaka
Sakai is about 20 or 25 km south of Osaka and 15km south of Namba. Easy to get to from the Kansai airport on the Nankai main line or airport express. The APA hotel is conveniently located about 300m down the road from the train station so day tripping is great. Sakai also has a nice little hub and shopping Centre with reasonably priced restaurants in close proximity and in the shopping Centre. Also is walking distance is the Harbour and some nice little parks.

Spent 5 nights, 21-25 April 2016, in an economy double twin room on a non-smoking floor. Hotel is very conveniently located 2-3 minutes walk from the Sakai train station. The room had air conditions/heating, a small closet area, hair dryer, refrigerator, hot water pot, coffee/tea mugs, TV, slippers, and bath robes, but no dresser. We stored luggage under the bed. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush/paste, razors, cotton swabs, hair brushes, and hair ties are provided. This room is not 1076 sq. ft. (100 sq. m) as listed in Expedia. The room is more like 160-200 sq. ft. (about 14-19 sq. m). Bed was small and extremely firm; toward uncomfortable. Pillows were hard, and one side filled with what felt like plastic pellets (go to 100 yen store and buy another pillow for your stay). Breakfast buffet was simple, but boring after a day or so. Go to near-by grocery or convenience store and get breakfast items.

Extremely small room compounded by a very uncomfortable bed-- stayed in two other hotels in Japan that were much more comfortable-- recommend that you avoid standard double-semi-double rooms in Japan- really cramped and unpleasant. On the positive side- bathroom was better appointed than the room.

Considering the price this hotel was a great find. Nice and clean in a quiet but convenient location close to airport yet still only 20 minutes for downtown Osaka. Draw back was the room was small but this was expected for Japan.

Practical Value Hotel
The hotel was in a very good location on the outskirts of Osaka city center. The room we had was a bit small but that's what you expect from Japan. There are decent grocery and shopping near the hotel but for the better selections, better head off to Namba.

Loved our stay here. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the train station too! What we found rather interesting though was the fact that during our stay we would not use the aircon. The front desk had told us that during cold weather times, the aircons do not work (they blow hot air) and for us to cool the room by opening the window. By opening the window, the room cooled very quickly and was comfortable, however, being so close to the train station we could hear the trains wiz by well into the night.

Expect room to be very small but it was ok for me as I'm quite petite. But for Caucasian maybe is a bit tough to stay in the room of that size. Clean hotel, helpful lobby staff, convenient location. Perfect for business trip.

An inexpensive alternative.
My wife and I wanted a lower cost hotel than the site of a convention we were attending. This satisfied that need, but the room really was small for two. In addition, a pillowcase with what looked like a large coffee stain was used to make up our room one day.
