Economy hotel close to subway

Posted Oct 26, 2012
The staff is stated to be multilingual but in truth knows very little English. The best qualities about the hotel is that it is cheap for what is provided and it is conveniently positioned right next to the subway station in Tennoji. The hotel is also right across the street from the Zoo and a short walk from the Tsytenkaku tower, which is like the Eiffel tower for Osaka. If you need assistance getting to where you need to go whether it is in Tennoji or somewhere else in Osaka it is best to go into the subway station and find the visitor information center. The staff at the subway turn styles know enough English that you can say "I need to go here ..." and "can you show me (and point to the ticket machines)?" and they will help you get your subway tickets and direct you to the correct platform. As for the hotel, the rooms are small and the beds are a not very comfortable. Most of the time all the free television is in Japanese but occasionally there will be American shows. There is a LAN in each room so you can communicate with people through the internet. For the price this is a reasonable hotel if you do not plan to stay in the room making it a good choice for people on short business trips. As mentioned before the best thing about hotel is how easy it is to get anywhere in Osaka without having to pay a high price to stay right in the downtown area.

Good, clean hotel in convenient location

Posted Oct 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stay here during a recent trip around the Osaka region in Japan. The best thing about this hotel is it's proximity to JR Tennoji Station. We needed to catch Airport Rapid train to Kansai International the next day and it was great to be so close. The location is good as it's just across the road from shopping and restaurants if you want to venture out. The only negative I could find was the size of the room but that's pretty standard across all hotel rooms in Japan. If you need a reasonably priced hotel in a convenient location in Tennoji, I would recommend this hotel.

Very close to the Zoo & major JRtrain station

Posted Jan 11, 2012
Pros: Excellent location, easy to find, very clean
Cons: Very hard bed and uncomfortable pillows
Location: Everything you could need, right at your doorstep. Osaka Zoo, restaurants, shopping, JR train station, convenience store.
Very close to the JR train station (only a 2 min walk) very easy to find, it's right on the main road. We booked 2 semi double non smoking rooms and got both on the 13th floor - one on the train side, one on the road side. There was little to no noise from the outside in either rooms, and the one on the train side had a fantastic view over the city and the zoo which is right at your door step. The rooms were the smallest we had stayed in while traveling through Japan, but it was only somewhere to sleep so we didn't mind. The bed was like sleeping on the ground (hard as a rock) and the pillows weren't much better... The room was very clean, and had internet access in your room via a LAN cable, there was internet facilities available on the 2nd floor, but we didn't investigate. There are many restaurants in the area, and an underground food court & shopping district under the train lines at the back of the hotel.

very small but very good location

Pros: Location.
Cons: room is ultra-small
Location: not directly in the centre of things, but close to the main stations. perfect of you are planning to visit the whole kansai area and use osaka as base
Would have rather stayed in Namba/Shinsaibashi area, but it was fully booked. So found this APA hotel, which came to be adequate. The hotel was located about 2 minutes away from one of the exits of Tennoji subway station, which also connects you to the Kansai Airport and Kyoto are easily (via JR rail). Dont expect glitz, the room is clean and new, but its very small. We ordered a semi-double room for two of us, and it came to be a single bed. Its Japan, so i think it was acceptable.
