Good location!

Posted Apr 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
It takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the nearest stations, and there are 2 convenience stores on the way. There are two lines by which you can travel to Kyoto, Kobe, or central Osaka easily. The staff is very nice and helpful. Though the furniture in the room is quite old, it is still a nice place to stay if you want to visit Kansai.

Nice budget hotel

Posted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness, wifi and costs.
Cons: Room is extremely small.
This is a nice hotel if you have a somewhat limited budget. The room is very clean, but extremely small. The amenities are quite dated though everything still works fine. Nice wifi in the room and lobby. The location is within 5-minute walking distance of the subway Midosuji line (Nishitakajima stop). There's not much sight-seeing surrounding this neighborhood, we had to take the subway to go to Umeda area for more restaurants and sight-seeing. All the popular sites that we went to seem to connect from Umeda station area, so we ended up taking the subway every day to go to Umeda, which added to the transporation costs (200 yen each way per person) and we didn't spend time at all around this hotel neighborhoods, except for occasional trips to Family Mart for bottled water and snacks.

Nice hotel & friendly staff

Posted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Sound proofing: 3-4 high school sports teams were staying there and it got pretty loud.
It was a nice hotel, clean and conveniently located. The staff was very helpful and made efforts to use English.

Good value

Posted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: Slightly larger rooms.
Location: Located near the local line but not the JR line. If you are a leisure traveler, you may want to be closer to Namba where all the action is.
Clean room and slightly larger than other rooms we had stayed in around Kyoto.

Great location and good value for money

Posted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Hotel Claiton for 3 nights, 2 in a twin room and 1 in a semi-double. It isn't exactly easy to find the hotel from the train station and we had to ask for directions but once we knew our way around, we felt the location was actually great because it was only 5 minutes away from the nearest subway station. It was a nice quiet neighbourhood but there were a 24-hour supermarket and a few convenience stores nearby. Rooms were clean; service was generally good and most staff spoke some English. They helped us move our luggage from one room to another when we changed the room. The only minor downside was the tram right beside the hotel. While it was a nice novelty, it also meant a little noise, especially since the tram service continues pretty late into the night. Overall great value for money and we would definitely return to this hotel if we visit Osaka again.

Location and hotel

The bed in the room is very hard but the service and cleaness is very good. A little bit is far from subway about 5 mins. My room was near the train track so every 10 mins i will hear the noise.
