Osaka Bay HotelPosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Looks good, spectacular views, good staff
Cons: Make the bigger rooms cheaper so I can afford them! (ha,ha)
Location: Close to Aquarium, The Wheel, Main Osaka Station. Slightly out of the way for Dotonburi, Namba, etc.
Very nice and very high hotel connected to Bentencho Station on the JR Loop Line, which is the only line you can use for free if you are travelling on a Japan Rail Pass. I was on the 43rd floor (of 51). The views were spectacular! Trying to keep costs down I booked a semi-double, (double bed, single room). Pleasing enough but very small. There is an Italian restaurant on the 2nd level with some of the cheapest food and drink (400ml Kirin Beer £2.50), (500ml Pink Spumante £5.00)! This is Japan!

Love the view, love the room!Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: The view, proximity to the train station.
Cons: Add breakfast into the price of the room.
Location: Go visit the Kaiyukan Aquarium and sit on the huge Ferris Wheel! Really great experience!!!!!
We stayed only a night here to transit to Tokyo the next day, but I loveddddd the room! Although it was a standard room, it was pretty spacious! Our room even had an awesome view overlooking the entire Osaka city, so that was pretty cool! Room was clean, bathroom well stocked with really good toiletries, and the staff were helpful! Our room even had a foot steamer, face steamer and other beauty gadgets, which was a bonus!

Good but older and away from citycenterPosted Feb 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Pros: The hotel staff were very nice and helpful. They have two big breakfast options (not free but good value). Some of the staff spoke good English. Internet in the room. Room and hotel are clean. Very close to subway. Cons: Is not a 4 star hotel. The room and bathroom had an old feel, there was no A/C (they told us to open our window). It was also small. Also far away from the center of the city.

Tolerable but not great for touristsPosted Dec 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
Clearly aimed at local business travelers. Hotel is located in a sort-of mall but other than that there is absolutely nothing in the area. Train stations are close but a bit of a haul if you have luggage. Rooms are clean but a bit bare-bones, bed was not great, staff were helpful but few spoke more than a few words of English.

The hotel is looking old.Posted Apr 5, 2012
Pros: Good views
Cons: The bed (very hard)
Location: Out of the main city centre, good rail links.
Ok for a nights stay, but it is out of the main center. The hotel is old and starting to look dated and I wouldn't consider this a four star hotel. The bed was terrible but I think this is common in Japan. There is a bar on the top floor which should boast great views but there is a ¥1015 (£8) per person just to go in, regardless if you are staying at the hotel, steep even for Japan.
