V close to the entertainment & public transportPosted Jul 8, 2014
Very clean room with an excellent view. The hotel staff were ever helpful and very polite. I enjoyed very much the proximity to public amenities and also leisure locations. Improvements could be on having a some variation in the breakfast buffet on different days. It would be usefull to have one or two English Cable TV channels and perhaps a small gym 😊 That aside, it was a indeed a memorable stay!

Nice hotel close to universal studioPosted Jul 2, 2014
It is just behind the universal city station u need to cross the road. From here u can buy for universal studio pass and largest aquarium Kaiyukan pass and round trip ferry ticket. Room stay was comfortable with pyjamas ready. Staffs was friendly and try to understand our needs with their 'limited' English

Excellent for childrenPosted May 4, 2014
Universal Port has all you need, especially for those who want to enjoy Universal Studio Japan but still want to experience sea cruise. We used Captain Cruise to visit Osaka Aquarium. The train from Universal City Station was also excellent, I would recommend this hotel for everyone.

Fantastic location, room size and service!Posted Apr 29, 2014
Pros: As above = everything!
Cons: I can't think of anything right now, as we only had a positive experience.
Location: As above.
This was one of our favourite hotels in Japan. The location; across the road from Universal and the many restaurants nearby, and the railway station. A short train ride to Osaka Station. The ferry to the aquarium is outside the door and you can buy all inclusive tickets to the aquarium and ferry at the hotel, as well as your Universal Studios tickets. The service was friendly and helpful, good English, the hotel is beautiful and modern and we just loved our room. Four single beds plus a separate large bathroom and toilet, it was more like a small suite than a hotel room. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Osaka.

Hotel greatPosted Apr 9, 2014
The hotel was close to the train station, bus stop to airports and next to universal studios. Staff was great. We arrived early. They held our bags while we were at the park and when we returned our bags were in our room. Nice touch after a long day. Pjs were nice too

Comfortable, clean and stylishPosted Mar 23, 2014
It's convenient and well facilitated. Room is big and comfortable enough. Hassle free throughout our 2 night' stay. A stone throw away from the ferry terminal to the aquarium and university studio..just wish they could also provide on sen bath salt or powder instead of bubble bath

Posh Hotel Next to Universal Studios JapanPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: Refined atmosphere and spacious rooms.
Had a great stay at Hotel Universal Port. The Hotel feels very posh yet at the same time has a casual relaxed atmosphere and is welcoming to families visiting the adjoining theme park. We stayed in a superior triple room, which was very spacious and had a great view over the River towards the skyline of Osaka. There was a practical separate toilet and bathroom with large walk-in wet room and bath tub. The hotel was next to Universal City train station, which was good for access. Universal City Walk is also across the street and is a mall of restaurants and shopping experiences, including Hard Rock Cafe, TGI Fridays & Starbucks.

great for families with childrenPosted Feb 5, 2014
Pros: The staff were extremely hospitable, the rooms were immaculate and the toilet was simply amazing....you could spend a good few hours on there!!
Cons: There is no pool!
Location: Great for universal studios and city (collection of shops and restaurants, traditional Japanese food and hard rock café etc. Very close to metro.
I was impressed with this hotel for the price we paid, I thought it actually looked a lot better than the pictures on expedia. I would say this hotel would suit families wanting to go to universal studios Japan as it is very close indeed. I was with four friends wanting to explore Osaka so the location was not ideal but on the plus side the hotel is about 500m from the metro station whereby you can get anywhere in Osaka and get to connecting trains to Kyoto etc! As soon as you get out of the metro station at universal city stop, make a sharp left and walk down the path where you will see the hotel. If you want to get connecting trains when wanting to explore Osaka get off at Nishi kujo. Try the Japanese massage also which is great and available in the refresh saloon in the hotel as well as in your own private room.
