Room was much smaller than expected.Posted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: It was clean like most hotels in Japan.
I booked a semi-double room for my wife and I to stay overnight near the Yodoyabashi station. I've stayed multiple times in other Mitsui Garden hotels in other cities such as Tokyo and Kyoto. By far and to my surprise, the room was much much smaller than what I had expected for the same hotel chain and a semi double room. The size of the room and especially the bed was small for one average size person, let along for my wife and I. We had to even try dodging each other while walking pass one another in the room. That's how cramped it was. The size of the bathroom wasn't much better either. Good thing we only stayed one night......

Good value, and location.Posted Jun 12, 2013
The room I got was surprisingly small. However, for the price I paid for a Japanese hotel, I think it was acceptable for that standard. So no complaints. I had problem with the air conditioning though. It seems to ramp up loudly to cool the room again, which was annoying in the middle of the night. Location was ok. There was a subway nearby, and a 20 to 30 mins walk to Dotonburi.
