“All in all a nice place”
The location is very handy. Just a couple of stops from the Shinkansen station, 1 stop from the main Osaka JR station, and direct access to the subway from the hotel. The staff is very pleasant and the rooms are nice enough. The room size is pretty good by Japanese standards. The only down side is that the hotel is not in the immediate vicinity of the areas where you want to visit in Osaka. That is offset by the easy transit access.
“Outstanding Osaka”
The staff were awesome from exchanging currency to providing detailed instructions on a map. Customer service is still alive and well in Osaka.
“Ramada Osaka is brilliant”
They have great english and concierge was extremely helpful. Also, able to sell tickets for entry to main attractions which included public transport and they gave very detailed directions. While the room was on the small side (which was clearly stated when we booked) the space was well laid out and functional, enough room for two ridiculously large suitcases and all of our purchases.... The fact that the hotel it above a subway station is a huge bonus and only a 10 minute walk into the major JR rail station. Great little places to eat very nearby the hotel as well as a coin laundromat. You really can't go wrong with Ramada Osaka for service and location. We highly recommend this hotel.
“great location for sightseeing”
hotel was close to many eateries, bakeries, shopping, and trains to get to other places......ask to be on the street side when booking instead of the alley....lights of other buildings came thru if u didnt close curtains...beds and comforters were very comfortable. bathroom did smell moldy....english newspaper a plus....limited english speaking employees...no english speaking employees cleaning rooms... small room but was expected....would stay again! amazing place to be.
“I would definitely stay there again.”
The Ramada was in an excellent location. The staff was very polite and the room and hotel were very clean. The Ramada is located right above a main subway line stop. Its a ten minute walk or a 2 minute subway ride to the center of most attractions. Great hotel at a very reasonable price.
“good value”
free in room internet/computer access is a plus!
“Small room, but other than that it is ok”
The hotel and the staff was what I expected, but the room was very small. Claustrophobics should avoid this hotel (although I have to admit that I haven't stayed in any other hotel in Japan, so this might be normal there). I really did appreciate that they had trouble free internet access in the price. The hotel is located next to the subway station, what makes it easily accessible by public transportation.
“A fantastic stay at the Ramada Osaka!”
I booked 10 days at the Ramada Osaka. What you won't find in general information that's actually extremely handy, is that the basement (B1F) of the Ramada Osaka leads directly into Nakatsu station of the Midosuji line in Osaka. The Midosuji line is arguably the most useful subway line in Osaka for tourists; it is directly adjacent to party areas like Umeda, Namba and Shinbaisashi, as well as being only two stops from Shin-Osaka station where you can take a bullet train to other areas in the Kansai region. The bed is comfortable and has extra pillows (four in total) and was king-sized. The shower/bathtub/restroom is large and easy to maneuver in, and the room contained a mini-fridge with a basic stock of beer. The room also included high speed internet access and I used that to upload my photos I took each day. Some other handy things: Less than half a block away, is a 7-11 which happens to be the only establishment I found that would accept international ATM cards. I had no problem withdrawing cash with U.S. ATM card and having Yen immediately available. This saved me a lot of hassle having to find a currency exchange counter and carrying extra dollars with me. The staff of the Ramada Osaka for the most part speak English, but as a gesture of good will I'd suggest learning at least enough Japanese to say "Please" and "Thank you very much". The staff are all extremely helpful and polite. Five stars!
“Great for families”
The hotel was conveniently located with an entrance inside the subway station-- very helpful on a rainy day. The suites available were relatively spacious and easily accommodated our family of 4. Everyone even had their own bed. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and all the amenities were present. We were very satisfied with our stay.
“extremely satisfied”
I travel to Osaka often, at least one weekend a month. This was the first time that I stayed at the Ramada Osaka Hotel. I was extremely pleased with my stay. I Have stayed in quite a few different hotels in and around Osaka, and I can easily say this is my favorite so far. with one exception... there could be better ventilation in the smoking rooms.
