Overall a Decent Stay
Good location, close to multiple public transportation stops and convenience stores. Decent room sizes. Only thing, no way to control room temperature... you are at the mercy of hotel.

The property info stated it was near the Opera. It was no where near the Opera. It is way out of the city center. The rooms were sparce and not clean. There were white spots/stains on the mattresses. I did not go barefoot because it looked pretty dirty. The property was about a 15-20 minute bus ride from the train station. The neighborhood was a little rough with graffiti on many buildings. I would not stay here again. On the upside, there's a Joker market in the building for convenience and thevstaff were all nice.

Great Place To Stay
Nice hostel-style studio apartment with kitchenette, not far from many cafes, bars, and bus/tram connections. Handy joker grocery shop nearby.

Overall, nice property with clean rooms. Small elevators and you have to pay to park your car. Not too convenient but that's in all Europe. This was our second stay with these hotel apartments. Not too expensive either.

It's really nice if you're traveling and are planning to spend a lot of time out and about. It's close to the bus and tram stations and there are some great cafes and restaurants around the area. We didn't end up cooking, but they provided plenty pans and cookware. The doors are a little confusing, just check to make sure it's locked after you leave the room. It was rather noisy at night and we couldn't tell where it was coming from but if you bring earplugs it should be fine.

A lovely welcome at check in from the friendly gentleman on the front desk around 5pm on Thursday 24 November. The establishment was quiet, clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: it was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The front desk also had games they loaned out, and on an early night, we borrowed one and had a really fun time with it. The bathroom floor was heated - a great surprise and really helped with drying the floor (thanks to an errant shower head!). The joker is attached to the hotel, which was convenient. Cons: we had to stop at the front desk to get a kettle and hairdryer and extra towels. We also had to strip our own bedding and bring it downstairs to the front desk upon checkout. Unfortunately, when we left, it was prior to the front desk being open and the doors were locked. My husband had to bring all the bedding back upstairs since there was nowhere to leave it. The bus line is fairly far to get to. We would stay there again though - it was a nice apartment. There were not many other people around because the hostel part was closed for the season; my kids enjoyed playing fooseball in the lobby. Not sure they could do that with the hostel open; would probably be a lot more people.

The room and the bathroom is very clean, friendly staff at the reception, would not hesitate to recommend this to others and will definitely come back, easy access to the buses and trams and walking distance to the Oslo city centre, really enjoyed my stay in the Anker Apartment. Not bad
It was not bad, but quite good to stay. But the bathroom and restroom were not clean. I don't know how many times they clean them a day, but whenever I used them, I felt it was not clean. And the room door was broken, though it was not big trouble to me, but they didn't try to repair it.

Good no frills budget option
Overall, a budget option that is worth it, if you want a no frills stay. Big room, adequate facilities. Here are the Pros and Cons: Pros- Bathroom has a heated floor (!) amazing after a cold day out. The room was very clean There is a stove and a refrigerator in the room The building is very close to bus and tram links and 15-30 minute walk from the centre or waterfront The is a convenience store literally next door that can be accessed through reception. There is cheap tea and coffee at reception Cons- There is no wardrobe or drawers in the room, we had to leave our clothes in our suitcase. There is a fee (60NOK?) for bed sheets and towels. The bed sheets (they go over mattress) are also mandatory so you have to pay the fee. Pillows and duvets are provided in the room thankfully. There are no facilities in the room such as kettle or hairdryer, to use these or any cooking equipment, you have to leave a 100NOK deposit with reception and you have three hours to use in order to get deposit back. This actually isn’t a bad system but for two of us to have a shower and dry, three hours was cutting it fine for hair dryer use. The last ‘con’ is subjective but the place is so sterile looking, it could be a hospital. There is no art, no wallpaper, no colour at all. Everything is Grey and White. It would have been nice to even see local photography of Oslo in reception but it is very plain. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful and cheerful, big thanks to them!

A little pricey plus more expenses
Only thing I would say, they charge you for linen and towels if you don’t bring your own. They also expect you to turn them all in on check out but I refused. You can also rent a kitchen set, deposit is returned but again you need to return all to reception to get your $$ back.
