Just had a 3 night stay in this hotel whilst visiting Oslo. Hotel room was very clean & an ok size. Breakfast was great, good variety even have a small selection of gluten free items which is a great addition. Ate here one evening which was just as good. Soup, salad & tacos. All the staff we encountered on reception were very friendly & helpful. Also a big thanks to the kitchen staff who were lovely & thanks for the good food!!) Hotel is short walk to main shopping area, & most attractions, although everything is very walkable in Oslo. Great hotel which we would gladly use again

Large room with a lovely view, comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Evening meal had no vegetarian option for main course. Quite cool in dining area.

Such a deal to get breakfast and dinner, both of which were fabulous. Having a heated floor in the bathroom, above and beyond. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location
Comfortable hotel, easy walk to the central station for the airport. Room comfortable, no safe, no fridge which is surprising at the room cost. Shower is too small and the toilet is near to unusable as it is so close to the wall, worst bathroom ive ever seen. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food, cake and coffee available mid afternoon with a light dinner at 6pm, all included which is nice. Free tea and coffee available in the lobby. Short walk to bus stops and shopping area and quite near to the Munch museum, opera house and the boarding point for the Oslo fjord tour.

Hotel was close to the train station (came in from the train) and the ferry station (left for Copenhagen the next day on the ferry), super convenient. Older hotel, friendly staff, very nice room. The room included dinner which was a nice surprise: the food was good, and included good salad and bread selections. Espresso machine in the lobby for general use. Would definitely stay here again, a couple of blocks off of the main roads.

Loved this hotel! They were so close to shopping and walking! They served an amazing breakfast buffet….cake for snack..and a full dinner included in the price! Huge windows in our room! Friendly staff. We were able to upgrade for a small price!

The booking included free breakfast and an evening meal. Both of which were way above our expectations. The breakfast spread was plentiful and varied and each dinner had amazing salads and vinaigrette to go along with the main course. There is rustic bread they bring in that you'll be enjoying for breakfast and dinner. We would stay here again just for the food which was top notch. For families, the family room is perfect for your little one.

Very pleasant stay in Oslo
Convenient location only a 6 minute walk from the train station and Opera house. We had a room in the historic section on an upper floor. Room was clean and comfortable with nice bed and pillows. Not a fan of the tub/shower combo, but bathroom was fine. Loved the windows and ability to fully open or just tilt them in. Very pleased with dining. The breakfast buffet had a decent selection of good food, and we enjoyed the afternoon "fika" more than once! The kitchen and front desk staff were great! Genuinely helpful and friendly!

Great spot as it’s close to the train station, ferry port, downtown museums and night life port restaurants. Also, hotel serves a nightly dinner included with your room as well as breakfast. That was a nice treat and it was a very good dinner with many options!

This hotel is well located within easy distance to the Opera House, Munch museum, hop on bus, and public transportation. Check in and check out was easy. Staff go out of their way to assist. Breakfast is good with variety. Coffee and tea available all day. A light dinner is included. We did our fun meal out at lunch so took advantage of dinner. There are many restaurants down by the Opera House. This is at the edge of the financial district so not much for tourists next door. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Beds were good and hallways quiet.

Abdi & Corazón at The Clarion Collection Hotel Bastion restaurant provided us with excellent customer service. Abdi went above and beyond to assist us. Thank you, Corazón, for speaking with us and for all the helpful suggestions. Camilla, at the front desk, is extremely helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast, afternoon snack, and dinner the hotel provides. It is a very nice touch. The hot chocolate is the best! It would be nice if the machine that makes cafe lattes would be included with breakfast.

Really great that this hotel serves a decent dinner every night! Food is delicious. Breakfast is great too. Only complaint I have is that the room does not have air-conditioning so we had to keep the windows open the whole night and it was quite noisy at times

Clarion Collection Hotel Bastion Is very conveniently located close to Central station, Oslo Opera House and Munch museum. Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, good breakfast. Daily tea and evening pre-set dinner are other great benefits assuming high prices for food and restaurants in Oslo.

Great Value With Helpful Staff
My wife and I are on a journey through Norway and the Clarion hotel in Oslo was our first stop after arriving from the US. Well located across from the opera house in Oslo, I highly recommend this hotel. The staff were excellent, eager to help and warm throughout the process. We really enjoyed our stay and of particular note is the quality and diversity of items in the breakfast buffet. They also serve tea and cakes in the afternoon, as well as a fixed menu dinner buffet after six, all included in the nightly rate. Perhaps the only concern would be that the place could use a refresh as the decor is a bit tired.
