“Very convenient & not too expensive hotel in central Oslo”

Have stayed here before and the location is perfect. You can walk to the main station where the train from the airport comes in. Even better though, they have just put in a brand new fitness center that is second to none compared to other hotels! It is stellar! Almost all of your less expensive hotels in Oslo do not have a fitness center. FDor me this is a must. Free breakfast and free internet too!

“Friendly, comfortable business hotel in Central Oslo”

Typical euro business hotel with excellent front staff and superb breakfast. Very convenient. I (single woman) felt safe walking around. As was noted by another post, there were some drug users just 1-2 doorways down. It's an anomaly in the otherwise well-positioned hotel neighborhood. Overall great stay and value for money

“"Nice Room and Great Breakfast!"”

The public areas of the hotel--lobby and hallways--could use some work, but the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and it's location near the train station and bus terminal was great.

“ok hotel, staff very helpful”

STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL, AND ACCOMMODATING. ROOMS WERE OK, BUT NOISY FROM STREET TRAFFIC, UNTIL MIDNIGHT, WHEN PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION STOPPED. 4 BLOCKS TO TRAIN STATION, AND KARL JOHANS GATA. QUESTIONABLE PEOPLE ON THE STREETS SOME OF THE TIME, BUT NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE, JUST TRAVEL SMART AND CAREFUL. BEAUTIFUL WATCHING THE MOON COME UP OVER THE OPERA HOUSE.

CLOSE TO THE CITY CENTER OF OSLO, WHERE THE TRAIN STATION, BUSES AND OTHER PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION ARE CONVENIENT, AS ARE MANY OF THE MUSEUMS AND SIGHTS.

Getting around

WE USED TRAINS, TRAMS, AND BUSES TO GET AROUND. USING THEM YOU GET INTO NEIGHBORHOODS THAT TOURS DON'T TAKE YOU INTO. ENJOYABLE AND VERY REASONABLE. EACH TRIP WAS LIKE A TOUR.

“Great value in Oslo”

This is NOT a luxery hotel but it is very pleseant. It is clean and functional and the staff is very helpful. The breakfast, which is included, is extensive. Given the price of everything in Oslo, the breakfast is worth a fortune! The location is fabuous, a few short block from the central train station. This was an excellent value for money. I recommend this hotel without reservation.

“Oslo's expensive - good deal at this hotel”

I was leaving on a cruise from Oslo harbor and I needed a hotel for one night after arriving in the country. This hotel was located very close to the train station and was conveniently located for walking about downtown Oslo. Yes, there is a needle exchange around the corner but I didn't see anyone who made me feel threatened - but then, I'm from a city in California with a lot of homeless. The rooms are quite spartan - I would not want to stay here for an extended period due to the fact that there are no drawers and no closet - just hooks on the wall. But for a one night stay it was perfect. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. I would definitely stay here again if I was going on another cruise.

“Very handy location.”

I was traveling by train and this hotel was very close to central station; downtown, the ferry, and buses, and restaurants. Everything was good.

“Excellent value”

Located conveniently a block from the main train station. Easy access to the airport via the fast train. Short walk to the harbor or downtown. Very helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. Two free Internet terminals in the lobby. One block from the spectacular Opera House. Saw a number of "colorful" people around the train station, but had no problem with them.

Traveler's tip

Good (but expensive) dinner at "Mr. India"in the same block Good (and less expensive) dinner at "Nilsen Spiseri" in the next block. Buying an OsloPass is a good value (NOK 410, about US$ 66 for 72 hours of unlimited bus, train, ferry, and most museum fees).

“Good Location”

This hotel was a nice location for us as we did not have a car and it is just around the corner a couple of blocks from the train station. We walked everywhere from here and found it to be a resonably priced and adequate for our needs. The breakfast in the morning was nice and they had complimentary Internet as well in the lobby.

“Very good”

Hotel was in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of most attractions. Hotel staff was very helpful and breakfast was good. I would most definitely stay here again upon a return to Oslo.
