“Doubletree Hotel Oslo”

The Doubletree hotel is a great hotel right in the middle of Oslo. Walking distance to just about everything. The hotel has been recently renovated. A very good, full breakfast each morning … be sure to include it in the booking price because everything in Oslo is VERY expensive. The rooms were a bit small by USA standards but very adequate by European standards. Modern décor. Comfortable bed with a down duvet. Great pillows. One of those big rain shower heads with lots of water pressure. Unlike anything that I have seen in Europe. Fast internet connection. Nice little bar downstairs as well as a good restaurant. Overall, I was VERY pleased with the hotel, especially with the price booking it through Expedia. Everyone spoke perfect English so this was never a problem.

“Oslo most convenient four stars hotel”

The Doubletree Oslo has the most convenient location, the service is outstanding, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, We enjoyed our stay. The rooms in the front have a beautiful park view but if you prefer peace and quiet request a room in the back of the building.

“Great Oslo hotel”

Great hotel in central Oslo. Rooms have been very recently re-done and are comfortable and stylish; public spaces are well maintained as well. Very good breakfast buffet.

“Good stay and not too expensive considering”

Good stay and not too expensive considering how expensive Oslo is, one of the most expensive places you will go in the world. So I hear, and my experience was the same. Go to a pub and spend $18 USD on a Guinnes...wow.

“Pretty good hotel with excellent location”

Hotel stay was good. Just a small issue - no phone or clock in my room, but front desk willing to supply if necessary.

“Great hotel, but beware the noise.”

This hotel is great, including the facilities and the staff, and the location couldn't be better. As other reviews point out, there is one thing to keep in mind: the noise level in general is high. Noise from the street and at night from a night club that operates very near are constantly present. If this doesn't bother you, everything else is great; I can't think of anything else negative about the hotel.

“Great central location gem of a hotel.”

Hotel is "difficult" to find - just walk up Karl Johans Street from the central station until you find the Kristiana Theatre. The taxi drivers also know it by this name. The room was comfortable, although typically Norwegian. Breakfast was great (and included). Wifi was fast (and included). I couldn't find the light switch (so I ended up pulling the card to turn all the lights off).

“Excellent hotel in the middle of town.”

Hotel Oslo City Center is a fine place to stay with very comfortable rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was served every morning, and the hotel's location can't be beaten (it's easy to walk to many places a tourist would like to visit, and no more than a block and a half from every major form of public transportation). If you have a car, finding a place to park might be difficult. A room facing the front might have a lot of noise as it looks out over Oslo's main street. City Hall is also right behind the hotel, and it's clock tower loudly strikes the hour from 8AM til midnight.

All in all this is a great hotel to stay at in Oslo. We had a nice spacious room with a big comfortable bed and good staff.
