Central, modern and comfortable

Posted Jul 1, 2014
This hotel is close to all the main attractions in central Oslo. It has all the amenities of a hotel that caters to business travelers i.e. iron in room, etc. except for a gym but they have a discounted day-pass agreement with a gym just a few blocks down. The heavy curtains are effective in keeping the sunlight out in the long summer days when the night is too short for a good night's sleep.

Very central to harbour, museums and Karl Johan

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Positioned within walking distance of almost everything of note in Oslo.
Cons: Definitely hanging space for well travelled clothes.
Location: The harbour, fort, palace, galleries, theatre and main 'drag' all within easy walking distance.
Staff very helpful. Room a good size but lacked a place to hang clothes. Bathroom good spacious facility but shower screen/door poorly located forcing you to squeeze into the corner to avoid water going everywhere. That said the room was colourful, clean and with a view (of sorts) from the balcony of the seventh floor. If you can get past the lack of hanging space, location and facilities are great.

Very Good Hotel in an Excellent Location

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The location was ideal and the breakfast was first rate.
Cons: Add some closet space for clothes and a safe. Fix the arrangement of the shower so that water doesn't go onto the bathroom floor.
Location: All of the major museums and tourist attractions are close to the hotel. As well, various forms of public transportation are steps away.
My overall experience is Oslo was very good. I strongly recommend getting the Visit Oslo pass because it easily pays for itself. This hotel was in an ideal location in terms of being close to all of the amenities (public transit, Karl Johans Gate, etc.), yet having a very good price that included an amazing Scandinavian breakfast. All of the staff members were also very friendly and helpful. The overall size of the room was acceptable. I would have given the hotel a higher rating if the room included an in-room safe, as well as a closet or drawers to put away clothes. As well, the shower needs to be fixed so that water doesn't go onto the washroom floor. On the flip side, I loved that the bathroom had heated floors, which felt great when I stepped out of the shower.

Excellent for city centre

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: A room that was not overheated, but still comfortable; sensible tog-rating duvet ensuring a good night's sleep.
Cons: Hard to say - everything was good.
Location: Oslo full of interest - too much to detail!
Very comfortable, welcoming and handy for Oslo city centre and all public transport. Great choice at breakfast buffet.

The hotel is conveniently located near many tourist areas. The facilities and security are first rate. The rooms are quiet and well maintained. Very good breakfast. Will stay here next time in Oslo.

A very basic hotel.

Posted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was reasonable, room was clean.
Location: Half of the hotel rooms look towards a wall making it claustrophobic.
Facilities in the room were poor. No hooks for clothes, no wardrobe, just a few hangers. No toiletries (although that was a lesser issue). The cost of internet was included in the hotel room rate, but the login process is unnecessarily cumbersome and the broadband was poor.
