Hotel is typical 1970’s architecture but is actually very nice inside. Good value for money, comfortable room and enjoyable breakfast. Situated in a commercial area, but easy access to city centre via nearby metro.

Good stay if eventful
We stayed in a suite on the 8th floor, to get a walk-in shower; the room was spacious and comfortable Although it faced onto the adjacent motorway it was quiet being high up. The other side would be quiet on every floor. The breakfast was excellent, served in a spacious ground floor room with well separated tables. Access is not straight forward unless you come by car. If you arrive by bus from the airport or by metro you only have an eight to ten minute walk - but it is over a footbridge which climbs high over the motorway with quite steep gradients on either side. The metro ran every ten to 15 minutes and took about 12 minutes to get to the centre. Another surprise was a large dinner party in the ground floor one night followed by a party till 3am in the bar on the ninth floor. This disturbed several people in the group we were with, and one chnaged her room in the middle of the night to a lower floor. Strangely although we were on the floor below the bar we heard nothing. We were impacted though because the bar has an adjacent restaurant which closed early. The hotel had warned our group leader but she had not passed this on to us. Happily the staff rustled up some food for us from the downstairs kitchen which was much appreciated. We did eat a couple of times in the restaurant and the food was adequate. The staff there seemed a bit shorthanded; one night our order took an hour to arrive. On balance we had a good if eventful stay. Oslo is fantastic!

Negative moments: The room was quite dirty when we entered. There was a constant noise from the ventilation. The door of the bathroom/toilet was a sort of nonexistent. I asked from the personnel a toilet paper and a recycle bin, within the 4 days I stayed they were never delivered. Positive moments: There were books for kids available in the restaurant. The food was ok. Otherwise, there was nothing particularly likable.

Industrial look in industrial area
Not a pretty hotel or a charming neighborhood. Don’t stay here if that’s what you’re looking for. But public transportation from airport and into town is good. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Excellent breakfast. Relatively quick and easy transportation into Oslo on the metro. Would definitely stay here again.

About 10 minutes walk from metro on a pedestrian path next to a dual carriageway. Room was abit small but fair enough for the price, was clean and had an amazing view. Only issue was no lock on the bathroom door if you mind that and the shower gel and conditioner were empty. However the buffet breakfast was brilliant with lots of options and really nice area to eat with candles at breakfast :)

Horrible holiday
I have been here from the 15th of October till the 21st of October . I complained to Gretta about room number 511 that the ceiling above our heads were black and pealed off , the door of our bathroom was not being closed till the end so when my son was having a shower we had to go to the lobby and when we were having a shower my son had to go to the lobby , the partition of the tub was in the middle and did not stay in one place which was difficult to take a shower that way , there is no handle to catch and get up while we are in the tub and the room was not clean everyday .The room was made clean only once in our 6 nights stay . We had to put the rubbish out ourselves as it was smelling .This hotel does not seem to be a 3.5 star hotel . If I went to an apartment hotel I would pay less and get the same treatment . We have to take the towels everyday and no telephone in the room . There is no kettle and tea bags or coffee .

The minibar was empty No sparkling wine available. And since the hotel is situated outside of everything else we were not able to go and get it ourselves. The sofa was dirty, old and not comfortable. Service desk didn't help much. We had to call for a taxi our self since we needed a car for more than 4 ppl.

Nice hotel and staff but besides busy road.
Nice modern hotel, unfortunatley located next to busy road so not very quiet at night. It is close to walk to the metro station (<5mins) an dyou have free parking at the hotel. So just leave your car and take the public transport :) The room was nice but the breakfast solution under covid rules was not optimal. Every day a big line because you needed to get served at the buffet. Other hotels on our trip solved the issue a little better and at the time we where there the restrictions on the buffet should have been lifted (at least that is what we were told at previous hotel, maybe not applicable to Oslo?). Anyway all the staff was very nice and that made up for the unconfortable situation.

Corona a cause or an excuse?
It is corona time, so we understand things are more difficult. The Kids were looking Forward to the hotel breakfast which was the biggest disappointment this time. We normally love this aspect, but there was very little choice. We are going to another hotel today, so we will then see if corona causes the situation to be like this or if the hotel is using it as an “excuse”. Apart from that, all has been well. Quiet, nice and comfortable.

Nice and cosy interior with good lighting, carpets and design. Room was comfortable and location was relatively convenient. There was cleaning everyday but they did not change the sheets. Don't want to get picky but left some wrappers and papers on the floor but it wasn't cleared at all - which shows you how much effort goes into the cleaning. Breakfast spread was decent although the variety of food was repeated.

I loved the buffet, staff and location. Close to the metro.I did not like the rooms temperature. Very warm inside the room. The receptionist said that all rooms temperatures are controlled by the hotel.

Very hard to get parking place. Got parking ticket for parking right outside the hotel on our arrival. One night during our stay had to pay 17 pounds to park outside the hotel.

Our parking lot has 65 free parking spaces, just a short stroll from the hotel (125 meters to be exact), where we operate by the old saying "førstemann til mølla" (or translated: first come first serve). It's not common that our parking lot is fully occupied, but when this occurs we luckily got the option to recommend parking at Q Parks own spaces right outside the hotel. However these are payed parking spaced, operated and owned by a different company where we have no influence over the price or fines. Concrete tower on the Oslo ring road
Reasonable hotel on the ring road around central Oslo. Odd appearances - the hotel looks like a concrete tower block but was fine internally. The room looked nice, but was not great for comfort. Bed too soft, no power socket by the bedside, and *dark* - very few lights. Good breakfast, though. We booked here to get parking included on our road trip. It is available, but only limited spaces in the hotel car park. And it's not right by the hotel, it's a couple of hundred metres away with little security. It filled up every night - we were lucky to get spots when we did.

Hi Steve! Thank you for your feedback! The architect of our hotel is Erling Viksjø, finished in early 60s. He is famous for this brutal and hard look, and was in fact the designer behind Høyblokken at the Government Quarter. The facade is concrete with river stones pushed into it. So it’s actually a rich verity when you come close. Our parking is located 125 meters from the hotel and includes 65 free parking spaces. Luckily we got the opportunity to recommend parking at Q Parks spaces when our parking lot is occupied. :) We're happy to hear you enjoyed our breakfast and keep your feedback in the back of our minds when going over our future maintenance projects. A Great Hotel
We drove our son from the UK to Oslo for his study abroad year and we spent 4 nights in Oslo at this hotel whilst he settled into his accommodation and familiarised himself with his new surroundings. We cannot fault the hotel at all. It was clean, quiet, very comfortable and had the most impressive selection of food for breakfast that I have ever seen. The hotel is located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood despite being on a fairly main road. It is a 600m walk from the nearest metro station where you can get trains to the city centre. We will definitely be staying in this hotel again when we visit our son during his year abroad.
