Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Nothing
Location: Easy reach of everything
The hotel was uneasy reach of all of Oslo's attractions, it was comfortable, clean and the breakfasts were excelant. We would recommend it to anyone! Probably the best hotel in it's price range we have used.

Little Boutique hotel in a nice neighborhood
Posted Jan 24, 2013
The Saga is a lovely little hotel in a nice neighborhood. There is free parking in front of the hotel and there are several (mostly Italian) restaurants within a few minutes walk. It is close to a tram stop that will take you around the city, and a quick walk to the Sculpture Garden which is fantastic. The breakfast is a typical European continental breakfast with fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, yogurt, and cereal. There is coffee and tea in the lobby all the time. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Lovely room with nice amenities
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: Location, size of room, amenities, breakfast
Cons: We would stay here again. Enjoyed our stay.
Location: Had a wonderful meal at Bistro Blanc, enjoyed walking thru the grounds of the Royal Palace to and from town, nice shopping on surrounding streets.
Stayed two nights at the Saga, where we walked or used the tram into the city center. Many shops and resturants in the neighborhood, and an easy walk to major attractions. Especially liked the nice touches of fluffy robes, vanity kit and magnifying mirror. It seems all of Scandinavia has gone to a combo soap/shampoo/body wash container, so don't expect lotion or conditioner. Two weeks and six different hotels - all had the one for all containers.

Great hotel to rest in
Posted Jan 25, 2013
Pros: Floor heating in bathroom
Cons: No adjustable heating in room
Location: 5 minutes walk to trams, 10 minutes to Majorstuen Metro station. Nice and quiet neighbourhood
Comparing to Radisson Blu I've stayed in in Helsinki just before I came to Oslo, it was much better. Clean, quiet, comfortable. Easy to get to (close to tram, slightly further from Metro), very helpful staff. Breakfast decent [not special though]. Only tiny minus for no adjustable heating in the room - with temperatures of aroung -10/-15 C it felt bit chilly in the room. However a huge plus for nice and warm bathroom, with floor heating, which made showering comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Great hotel in excellent location

Excellent hotel in a very pleasant location. Short walk to town centre or you can take the bus/tram. Good buffet breakfast and they currently offer free soup in the bar in the evenings. There is no restaurant for evening meals - but why eat in the hotel with the fantastic choice of restaurants in Oslo.

Pleasant Stay

Overall a very positive experiance. The breakfast was excellent with hot buffet in addition to the advertised continental breakfast. Shower pressure was poor mid morning though perfect early morning & evening. Basically a very reasonably priced, clean hotel with polite staff, approx 30 min walk for central station.

Cozy, adorable hotel

I fell in love with this hotel. Spotlessly clean, cozy, candlelit ambience, lovely decor, charming staff. My room was small but big enough for me. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on in my life - it was like sleeping on a cloud. If that bed was for sale I would have bought it and shipped it home. The one flaw was that the shower didn't get as steaming hot as I would have liked - but, everything else made up for the shower. They offer a breakfast which I left too early to experience, but I imagine it's wonderful too.
