Not a place for relaxation.

Posted Jul 27, 2015
The walls are very thin. You can hear everything in the halls, outside, and rooms next to you. There were kids screaming all night and when we asked the hotel staff to come and tell them to be quiet, they gave us attitude. We were also woken by housekeeping yelling in the halls at 8:30am every morning. The was also mold in the ice machine pipes. Disgusting. Will never stay here again.

The staff wasn't too knowledgable about area restaraunts or coffee shops but the facilities were nice and everything was clean.

valt ontzettend tegen, naam doet anders vermoeden

Worse problem was the weather.

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Comforts for relaxing in rooms.
Location: Well located for dining, shopping nearby.
The room we were assigned was terrible. (4 walls, no view and 1 seat to sit on. I called and was able to upgrade to a pool side room for an additional charge of $20.00 per night. This was a GREAT difference and since it rained almost continuously, we were able to sit outside under cover, with sand looking on to the pool, cabanas, Tiki Bar, and beautiful landscaping,..... however still had only 1 seat in room. (They brought another chair later upon my request, but both seats were very uncomfortable to sit on, so we had to either be outside on patio, or inside stretched out on bed. The remote for the T-V only worked if within 6 ' of T-V, and very limited selection of channels for viewing. The decorations in room were fine with newly remodeled bathroom, and several amenities were better than expected. For the cost, I believe it can't be beat in the Sarasota area, however, since it included a fine dining room, and Tiki bar (two things we looked for), rather than most Continental breakfasts (No dining room, or bar amenities).

Nice hotel. close to beach and local activities.

Good except routine room maintenance lacking. Ants were found in bathroom, clock was not set to proper time, and window blinds had slats either missing or unatttached. Also lack of elevator makes access to 2nd floor difficult.

Nice hotel close to the beach but....

Posted Jul 6, 2015
This hotel is located in the suburbs of Sarasota. Its a quiet and not so popular small town. Nothing interesting to do at night besides some restaurants and maybe the movie theater. It is around 15 minutes away from Siesta Key beach and 20 to 25 to Siesta Key Villages. The Tiki Bar waitresses were terrible...awful customer service. Drinks were ok and they claim they have bands on weekends and they did not. Not enough lounging chairs and not towels on the pool area. Pool was small and crowded. The room coffee maker did not work and they bathroom did not have ventilation fan.

Great but...

Posted Jun 29, 2015
The hotel was in a great location, staff were helpful and kind... We got a free upgrade for a pool side room for paying with AMEX. What I didn't like at all was the bedding and towels. They were to worn, I mean, they were "clean" but it didn't feel like it. Pillow covers, bedding sheet, and towels were not white at all, they all have stains and didn't smell nice. I requested a clean set to do the bed myself and when I opened the nylon with the "clean" ones... They were just the same :( The hotel must renew the bedding and towels sets ASAP!!! Beside that everything else was very nice!!!

Relaxing getaway for the family

Posted Jun 28, 2015
The room was nice very comfy the family. the only downside was no microwaves we had to use the Microwave Athens hotel behind us to warm our food. I would recommend getting a king bed because the double feels like a twin. My hubby and I were a tight fit in the same bed. Everything else was great
