Tiny room, nice peoplePosted Jun 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Russian ski team was staying there also and this prevented us from being able to use the sauna. This was annoying. The staff was nice and the area is beautiful.

Great for skiersPosted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff deserve a special praise. Their helpfulness and caring has surpassed the already high expectations in the hotel business.
Cons: At winter, the place surroundings have very little to offer in addition to the ski activities.
Location: Cross country ski is the name of the game. Hiking and bicycles can also be possibility. Limited dining options & supermarket are available in the town
This hotel location is its most important feature. It is located 50 meters from biathlon stadium and skiing center. Ski equipment is available for rent. The place itself is clean and functional. It is not 5 star fancy place, but it is very convenient for guest that came for sports activities.

Decent small-town hotelPosted May 22, 2011 on Hotels.com
The "Scandic Karupesa" is actually not a Scandic hotel at all. The hotel clerk told me that they had not been affiliated with Scandic Hotels for 7 or 8 years. Hotels.com apparently has not done their research on this one. The room was okay--clean, basis with no frills. The restaurant wss not open (it looked like it had not been open in a long time), but the friendly woman at the desk recommended a restaurant in town for dinner. Free internet was good. Breakfast was a bit sparse (bread and cold cuts). Overall, the hotel was okay if you had some reason to be in Otepaa, Estonia, but it looked like it had seen better days.
