Algonquin College Residence

There was a lot of construction going on right on the college campus, right in front of the Res so that was a bit inconvient too. The rooms were ok, clean & comfortable. They had kitchenettes but there of course were no dishes or cultery or anything like that in them so they were pretty well useless to use. I think in the Hotels.com postings this could be something to mention, that way if there are poeple that want to stay there and want to do there own meals in the rooms, they could. Oh there was no real stove just a microwave oven. The place provided breakfast too and it was all good. The second morning I went down for breakfast there was a very nice young man - he told me he was a supervisor & he was keeping the breakfast area tidy, clean & restocked with cereal, milk, bread & other breakfast items. He told me he was doing it because somebody called in sick. I thanked him for his very good effort. We were a bit disapointed that we were not allowed to stay just one more night. We asked at the desk but the guy told us that as of a certain day (which was the following day so I don't udnerstand why he wouldn't rebook us for just one more day) they were not allowing anymore hotel guests to stay becaues they had to get the rooms ready for the students who would be arriving some day soon after that. Other then that I liked it & if I ever to go to Ottawa in the summer again, I would book a room there.

good for family, bascpackers, everyone likes nature and mountain leisure

We are a family of four and stayed at this place for two nights. The hotel was under construction/renovations during our stay. We had two bedrooms with full size bed in each plus a common bathroom and a small kitchen without gas range. The room was clean. The free breakfast was good enough for us - toast, bagels, juice, coffee, and cereals. We enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Algonquin college residence. After living in a university dorm for 2 years, I expected much less. We were happily surprised by the size of the room, the ameneties provided and breakfast on top of it all....we will definitely stay here again.

This is a nice student dormitory. We received 2 bedrooms block with a kitchen and shower room. The block was clean. Towels and beds were fresh, clean and dry. Free parking. The breakfast was usual. No internet.

Got what we paid for and was an overall ok stay!Would certainly do it again !Thanks Vince

For the price, it was well worth it. free parking, and laundry services. very friendly student staff at the desk. free breakfast was great. there is no wifi here though expedia claims there is. they do however have highspeed internet ethernet ports and ethernet blue wires in the room for computer and laptop connections. sorry iphones and ipads :(
