Arc The Hotel

Everything about the Arc was superb. A small hotel feel in the centre of town. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Both times I asked for restaurant referrals, I was told there was nothing. I had to find my way on my own. Front desk was not helpful.

I've stayed at this hotel a lot but never booked it through Expedia before. I did this time mostly because of the price and the cancellation policy compared with the hotel's online offer. I always book the same size of room and anyway they are all small. This time, they obviously didn't know how often I stay there because I had a small, dark, dingy room on the second floor with a view of a brick wall and a parking lot. The hotel was no where near full. And the housekeeping staff came at 5:20pm to do the nightly turn down service...really!! 5:20pm!! I was trying to get ready to go to dinner..

Great location!!! Hotel staff where friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the Queen room was very small. Better to ask for a room with two double beds.

Mattress was EXTREMELY comfortable - wish I had one at home. I was on business and did not feel well and the staff actually walked to the convenience store in the middle of the night to get me some Pepto Bismol! Cozy little restaurant on the premises. Only complaint was room was a bit small, faced a brick wall, and walls between rooms were a bit thin - lucky for me no one was noisy.

The service was friendly. The hotel was very modern style. The rooms were a bit small but clean.

The carpet in the room was in need of a good cleaning. On Sat. night the lounge was rocking and so much so that we could hear the music on the 5th floor. We ran out of kleenex and twice had to ask for an extra roll of toilet paper. They did not leave an extra roll in the room. Bed was comfortable. The washroom was very small and poorly lit. Only a single sink. We were in the business district and wish we had been closer to the market area where all the restaurants were.

Room was small but comfy and clean. Staff were friendly. Great downtown location walkable to key tourist sites and easily accessible by transit.

I recently spent one night at this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Central location. I did not make use of any faciities (gym, restaurant) so cannot comment. I did find the hotel to be somewhat dark and the decor a little bland. I also wondered about security since I dashed in & out, directly to the elevator, without any sort of screening.

overall, good hotel, comfortable beds/pillows, staff friendly and accommodating
