Decent hotelPosted Sep 9, 2014
Hotel is decent, needs updating, hot tub wasn't working for a couple of days during our stay; they came by the room at 8:30-9am on a couple days to clean the room-seemed really early for housekeeping Bed was comfortable

Dated hotel.Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Staff were generally friendly and helpful.
Cons: Communication between staff members. Ease of check in - room assignments and breakfast vouchers
Location: Located on a busy road in Bells Corners. Not much to do nearby. Booked for wedding attendance.
Some difficulty checking in with regard to breakfast voucher and type of room requested. Toilet was not working well and not fixed as promised. Had to change rooms for last night.

Nice hotel between Kanata & NepeanPosted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Room 417 was large, comfortable with nice details like coffee, fridge & safe. Staff was friendly Fitz restaurant had good variety & good food.
Cons: Had expected a continental breakfast but restaurant was only option. Great eggs benny :)
Location: Good location & overall good price. We used hotel as a base for events in Kanata, Nepean, Ottawa and Gatineau area. 20 mins to airport.
In town for a family wedding and hotel made a convenient location for events in Kanata, Neapan, Ottawa & Gatineau areas. Liquor store 2 blocks by Met grocery store. Restaurants & fast food within walking distance. Funhaven games(amusement park) is 10 mins away for indoor family fun.

nice play to stayPosted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: pool, hot tub, close to everything
Cons: bathroom in the pool area had to go all the way back to my room so my son could use the bathroom. charge for crib is not fair.
Location: lots of restaurants and stores
A very nice hotel, friendly staff. I had an infection in my leg and the girl at the desk was super helpful. She went online for me to look up clinics and their waiting times. Wish I could have enjoyed the pool but with my infection I couldn't go in. Pool looked a little dirty. Kids loved the pool.

Not worth the $$Posted Aug 21, 2014
Cons: Needs upgrading. Those tiny pillows have to go! An elevator would be really useful for people with bad knees
Location: Tim Horton's right across the street is a bonus. Other than that, not much in the area.
The hotel was hard to find (GPS doesn't recognize it). Needs some serious updating. NO ELEVATOR. Had booked a room with 2 doubles, then I called to request a first floor room. When we got there, it was a room with a king bed & pullout sofa. Ended up back on the second floor because they have no 2 queen rooms on the first floor. Bathrooms are very small & they sure don't give you any extra perks like moisturizers, shower caps. One measly bar of soap and a shampoo and conditioner (travel size) for 2 people. We had dinner in the attached restaurant Fitz's & truth be told it was ok, but not worth the price. The service was, however, very good. Definitely won't be staying there again.

Hotel to just stay if you don't have other optionsPosted Aug 18, 2014
Cons: staff is not trained may be under paid
We stayed for two nights. It was for for 2 rooms but the staff did not tried to give us rooms close to each other. The patio doors were terrible. It is a cheap hotel but quite. Tim Hortens near by so can get fresh coffee in the morning. I recommend to stay there if you have no other choice. Does not look like 3star hotel.

Nice location, close to lots of amenitiesPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location, easy to get to, close to shopping and restaurants
Cons: microwaves in the room without an additional fee, should be standard, pool wasn't the cleanest
Location: Close to Giant Tiger, fast food restaurants, Tim Horton's across the road, close to Bayshore shopping center, walmart, bulk barn
We had a good stay, room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly, we were on the ground floor and had access to the outdoor walkway but the patio doors were really hard to open and close.

Decent, central location.Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: While we did not have a chance to try out the pool, it looked clean and was a good size. Location is close to all the main roads.
Cons: General condition - just needs some tlc. While staff does not have to have English as a first language, it would be nice if it was at least their 2nd
Location: Nepean is not an overly happening spot - but it's a short drive to Kanata, the bayshore shopping centre is nearby and main roads are easy to get to.
Knew going in that this was not the cream of the crop of Ottawa hotels, but the price was alright and the location fit what we wanted (access to the expressway to get downtown as well as events in Kanata). Overall, the stay was OK. Beds were hotel beds. Older hotel - solid - helped to keep the noise levels down. In need of some reno's - carpet throughout hotel looked old and tired. Our room - for some reason, was missing it's shower curtain. When we stopped at the front desk to mention this and ask for one, the girl seemed totally confused, even to the point of asking us how many we wanted? Um, one shower curtain would be great. She eventually had to go ask for help for this challenging question.

hotel could do with an overall upgradePosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: the location for what my plans consisted of...
Cons: fix up the grounds...
Location: location was ok for what plans I had….
I think the title says it all…the grounds need to be cleaned up
