Convenient and they have balconies

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Simple. Basic. Clean. It's in the heart of downtown Ottawa and close to everything. It's not fancy but it's all you need. Nice to have balconies off the rooms for fresh air. Would stay again.

Good location rest needs work

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Good location, decent and helpful staff. But the hotel needs work. Old elevators, poor wifi in room,Ragged carpets. One expects more if you are paying more than 100 dollars a night!

You may want to make it more clear that people are booking a hotel in a seniors lodge.

Location

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Cleanliness, better internet.
Location: Parliament building and other attraction within walkable distance. Lots of place to eat within a few blocks.
Location of hotel is excellent for first time visitor to Ottawa. Lobby was acceptable. First room given to us was way below standards, very small and old. Complained and were upgraded to a larger room which was acceptable other than it could have used a thorough cleaning. A lot of small flies. The internet was really slow to get on and only worked for emails most of the time. Could use it reasonably well during the middle of the night.

Downtown Ottawa

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Pros: Nice, big room, stayed in the suite, balcony
Cons: carpet a little dirty,
Location: right downtown, parliament hill a couple blocks away, Byward market also
nice large room, close to Parliament Hill, short walk to Byward Market and Rideau Center. A very nice pub downtown is VJ's Pub, good old fashion pub, piano bar and very nice Owner, will definitely go back there next time in the city.

Nice location, but very old facility

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Overall its not bad hotel to stay one single night. However, the tiny and very old bathroom in the suit did not give a pleasant impression, and facets worked bad . Very small parking lot.Location is just perfect.

Parking space was terrible

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking space too crowded.
Location: Parliament Hills. Rideau Canal.
We choose this hotel because it's close to the Parliament Hills. We thought it will save our trouble in finding parking. Unfortunately the parking in the hotel (with CAD15 per day) was a nightmare. We arrived in the late afternoon and parking was full. We were told to park the van in the tunnel while there were a few cars there already. From time to time they have to move the cars around (like the valet parking) and we found that there were scratches on the side. They admitted the fault but only asked us to sign a paper. They said they are covered by insurance and asked us not to worry. However, after more than 2 weeks we still didn't hear from them. And the funny part was they still charged us CAD33.90 for parking fee! We got a standard room with 2 queen beds. The hotel is a bit old but room is spacious. The bed was too soft for 2 people to share. It's better to have firm mattress if share by 2 people. This hotel is right next to another building. Luckily that building is vacant so we don't have to worry much about keeping the curtain closed all day 'cause the building is extremely close to the hotel.
