Two days at the Hampton InnPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: We liked the convenience of being able to go downtown Ottawa as well as have Walmart and other stores and restaurants close by.
Cons: One thing that could be improved on is to put a rubber mat on the tub for showering or have something permanently placed on the bottom of the tub.
Location: Ottawa has several historic districts and it is a pleasure to walk or drive through and enjoy them.
We were very pleased that the Hampton is "dog friendly". Our mini-poodle is very well behaved and I think he enjoyed being in a place where everyone was pleasant and friendly to him. The room was clean and the surroundings pleasant.

Perfect place for a great costPosted Jun 30, 2014
Cons: The only improvement I could see making would be to include a buzzer or something by the front desk, for late night inquiries and what not.
Location: Small town, within striking distance of Peru, Dekalb, and the gorgeous Starved Rock. Hike Starved Rock, for sure, if you are in the area!
Not a single complaint to be made, really. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and included both an empty mini fridge and a microwave. The beds were very comfortable, blankets and sheets soft, pillows somewhat firm, not too flat, which I liked. The swimming pool and hot tub are kept clean, and towels are always available for you to use. The complimentary breakfast was solid; nothing super amazing, but decent food for free. For how cheap this place was to stay, it far, far exceeded my expectations. Should I find myself in Ottawa again, I will most certainly return here.

Nice Comfy lodging near Starved Rock State ParkPosted Feb 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was pretty comfortable and clean, not too far from Starved Rock State Park where we went for hiking. Front desk was quite helpful and friendly. The negative comments: 1) the lobby area, which has mostly just chairs and tables for breakfast, no real comfortable seating for us to hang out; 2) breakfast on Monday was just horrible (tasteless eggs, only 1-2 strips of old bacon left and no more brought out - this was at 8:30am); they also had only 1 old lady who's trying to do everything, we had basically no food

Nice, clean, hotel.....convenient to Starved RockPosted Oct 29, 2013
Cons: Ran out of eggs and ham for a long period at breakfast time.
Location: Close to Staved Rock State Park.
Great breakfasts as usual. Very quiet. We watched the Packer game in the lobby and spent the next day at Starved Rock Park.

Very nice pool area and fitness room. Good breakfast. Hotel décor and front lobby is beautiful and comfortable. Located just off the highway and is very close to restaurants and just a couple of miles to downtown Ottawa.
