Hotel is downtown

Posted Aug 13, 2014
The hotel was alright but the parking is terrible - the hotel is shared with the Marriott and they get the better parking and the parking elevator comes up on the marriott side and you have to go up a flight of stairs and back down with your luggage to get to the indigo side. Parking is also very expensive for the night and there isn't a valet service. There was also no bellhop service to assist with my luggage.

AC ran constantly and room was warm. It wasn't dirty, but it also wasn't clean. Disappointing for a Kimpton property and I later found out that it wouldn't even count towards my Kimpton rewards points. If I had known these things, I would have stayed elsewhere in the vicinity.

Great location

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: Tour of the parliament buildings, Byward Market, Rideau Centre, lots of sightseeing opportunities.
Nice hotel, excellent location. I was disappointed test the rooms did not look like the pictures online. Aside from that, everything was fine. The doors in the hallway are loud, you could always tell when someone was coming or going!

Clean Hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: What I most liked about this hotel is how clean it is. I am a clean freak and especially with a baby I wanted to find a clean and well kept hotel.
Cons: Only Con was the parking. Kind of had to go out of your way to get the parking lot
Overall we were pleased with our experience. Great hotel. Great staff

Good standard, clean and nicely decorated. Food and parking is a bit pricy though.

good downtown location

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: very clean, very comfortable, staff very friendly.
Cons: A better restaurant would be nice--really is more of a bar that is there now. Also, better arrangements for parking would be nice.
Location: one block from Confederation Park. Lots of tourist attractions nearby. Good central location.
Good location but parking is tricky-you park underneath a neighbouring hotel, then after a series of elevator/stairs jaunts, you arrive in your hotel. On several occasions the elevators were not working.

Nice, friendly hotel

Posted Jun 22, 2014
Pros: Staff & rooms
Cons: Car park
Location: About five blocks from Parliament and 10 minutes walk from the restaurants of Byward Market.
Stayed here for 10 days on business. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was well looked-after. Coffee (Nespresso type) is provided free of charge and there are refrigerators in the rooms; however, bottled water is charged for. The only niggle was the car park, shared with the hotel next door, which is three levels below ground with narrow access and (while I was there) a dodgy elevator. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Ottawa.
