Stayed for 1 week at Indigo

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Excellent customer service - very friendly and considerate staff. One thing I don't quite like is the curtains in the room. I prefer the room to be as dark as possible when I sleep. The curtains in the room however always leave a gap, which is irritating for someone who has sleeping difficulties.

Close to the place I did business

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Clean
Cons: Heat and easier access for handicaps; wireless WIFI
The staff were courteous, the hotel was clean BUT, the room was too cold, the shower and hand basin had lukewarm to cold water for taking a bath and the room I stayed in was not friendly to handicapped people. You cannot sit on the bed to use your computer; you have to sit at the desk which was not very comfortable.

Nice downtown hotel

Posted Jan 13, 2015
The hotel was very nice, the only issue was parking was a little confusing as it's two adjoining hotels. Other than that, the stay was good.

Great Hotel - close to the city centre

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: Quite location with nice big clean rooms & regular maid service.
Cons: Restaurant area was not open very often - although it is competing with restaurants & diners nearby
Location: Very close to the Parliament buildings & city centre. Ottawa has some good museums.
This is a boutique hotel which is about 10 minutes walk from the Parliament buildings and the city centre. The hotel was undergoing renovation and painting as we arrived and so had lots of scaffolding inside and out (now taken down) but ignoring that eyesore this hotel is very nice indeed. It doesn't seem to be particularly busy and doesn't offer a compelling food/restaurant service but as a place to stay to eat out elsewhere this is absolutely fine. The rooms are big and clean and very comfortable with free high speed wifi. Excellent standard BTW- The gym is shared with the hotel next door

Appearances can be deceiving.

At first we were impressed by the simple modern design and spacious rooms. However the pool was very shallow and whirlpool had frothing/ overflowing dirty foam! More importantly was the fact that while snuggling into bed for the night we discovered somebody else's socks under the covers - this telling us that our sheets had NOT been changed! Eww! While staff dealt with this quickly for us it is NOT forgiveable in a hotel - something I would expect at a cheap motel.

Downtown Ottawa stay.

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Fine for a quick in and out but don't look for atmosphere here. I have no idea where the pool is and wasn't told at check-in. The lobby is in need of a facelift and the bar is a lonely place for a pre-dinner cocktail. However, the rooms are spacious, the toiletries are excellent quality and the bed and linens comfortable. It is affordable and central.

A Little Disappointing

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Room was modern and clean.
Cons: General parking and hotel facilities.
Location: Excellent location near to all major downtown attractions and easy highway access.
Great location with pleasant modern rooms, but parking cost and the overall state of hotel were rather disappointing. Staff were approachable, but not the friendliest.

One night stay while picking up our daughter from

Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: Location is just right
Cons: The rooms we have stayed in are a tad too small It would be nice if parking was included Parking garage is a bit tight
Location: We like that it is a short (15 minute) walk to Byward Market
We had stayed here before and chose to come again because the price and location were just right.

Nice close to downtown venues but food was yucky

Posted Dec 13, 2014
We went out to a hotel with the family to walk around Ottawa and go to City Hall and Parliament Hill so the kids could see Santa and the Christmas lights. We couldn't wait to get back and order room service since we didn't eat most of the day. The food was terrible and each meal was either over cooked or under cooked. The lady at the front desk took the whole meal off our bill and let us know they had a new cook. Staff was lovely but we didn't bother having breakfast at the hotel we walked around downtown til we found a little breakfast joint! I really liked the rooms, so bright and airy!
