Location: 3-minute walk to the Byward Market & Rideau Centre shopping mall
Everything fine as usual, except the in-room safe was not working. Have been coming here for five years, and will be back. Construction is ongoing across the street at the Rideau Centre shopping mall, but the noisy work seems to have been completed.

Location was wonderful.

Location was wonderful, close to everything downtown especially Byward Market. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were ok for 1 or 2 people only. They had a great bar fridge but no microwave. Parking was $23 a day. A little pricey but nice that it was available so we could easily access our car. Wish the front desk had offered us a trolley to help with our luggage and told us that robes were available for us to wear to the pool. The hot tub was pleasantly hot with good jets but the pool was packed with kids. My friend had problems navigating the stairs to the pool room and into the pool and hot tub and towels were not always available in the change room. But again minor inconveniences for a great location.

Great Location/Helpful Staff

Perfect location for a visit to the capital. Shopping across the street-walking distance to Parliament Hill and downtown landmarks. Will be staying here again.

Location is the best part

Posted Mar 19, 2015
This hotel is steps to everything which is great. Hotel was very dark and somewhat depressing. Pool is shared with attached hotel making it very crowded and noisy. No personality or ambience at all. Rooms felt tired and lobby unfriendly

Walking distance to everything

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Proximity to main landmarks.
Cons: Put some noise reduction material underneath the equipment in the gym.
Location: Restaurants, bistros, bars, clubs, several shopping centres, performance arts centres, churches
It is an "OK hotel" rather then "The Great hotel". First impression - lots of students, second - an information board advising no noisy socializing - after 22:00 hours, third - I was on the 10th floor, just underneath the gym - and not enjoying the sounds of cardio machines on 11th floor. The rest was beyond hotel's control - construction site noise, works on city's water pipes. Another annoyance is WiFi. I was under impression that is free. Turned out to be true only for the first 24 hours.
