Villa Rustique was perfect for our stay. Eva was very welcoming and helpful and there were excellent facilities and great attention to detail and comfort. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely quiet location.

Pros: Nice safe urban location for a stroll and only short car journey to the main restaurant area
We really enjoyed staying at this guest house. Our bedroom was large and overlooked the garden which was great. Stayed 2 nights and would have been happy to stay much longer. Excellent accommodation, with pleasant garden and pool. It is set in a quiet and safe residential location on outskirts of Oudtshoorn it is convenient for all the tourist attractions in this area with excellent choice of restaurants in easy reach. No hesitation in recommending this guest house.

Very comfortable place to stay with covered parking. Very generous breakfast selection/portions. Worth knowing manager/owner does not live on site, a phone call away.

Fabulous place to stayPosted Sep 10, 2012
Pros: Excellent welcome and decor
Cons: Nothing bad to say!
Location: A bit hard to find, but a lovely location once discovered
We were personally welcomed by the owners who did everything they could to make our stay the best it could be, including recommending restaurants and making a dinner reservation for us. The room was very pleasant and comfortable, but we were not able to get the heater working. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided, along with an inexpensive mini bar and complimentary fortified wine. Breakfast was ample, delicious, and beautifully presented. The location of the guest house is lovely: right on the edge of town with animals in the paddocks directly behind. Our only quibble (and its not anything that the hotel can fix!) is that it's very hard to read the names of the roads because they are painted on the curbs, and frequently overgrown. Getting to Oudtshoorn is half the fun: the drive eastward along the N62 was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to do in Oudtshoorn, and we sadly didn't have enough time to do everything. If we found ourselves back in this area, we would happily stay at Villa Rustique again.

Excellent!Posted Mar 26, 2012
Pros: Every last comfort
Cons: Really can't fault
Location: Lovely peaceful romantic setting
Really could not fault this hotel. The rooms are really well designed with lots of room and all the facilities you could possibly want. Breakfast on the terrace is idyllic. And the advice on where to go and what to do in the area made for for a perfect stay. You can't walk into the centre of town – rural feeling setting, which may be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. Worth a serious think if going this way. And worth 2 to 3 nights too – lots to do.
