Good indoor, great outdoor.

Posted May 27, 2015
Pros: Location - about 200 ft. to the beach, 2.5 miles to fishing tier. Friendly and helpful personnel. "Homely" atmosphere (like a fireplace in lobby.
Cons: The breakfast can use a little day-to-day changes. I'm not expecting the lobsters for the price but the different kind of sausages will be nice.
If you like to spend as much time as possible on the beach, fishing etc, it's a perfect place to stay.

Close to beach and peaceful stay

Nice hotel on the beach. Very private. Not crowded at all. The rooms are kind of small but very neat.

For the price it was a dump.

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: The location was very convenient as was the parking space.
Cons: Need bigger, better and more more modern rooms.
For the price we paid, the room was too small, the bed was not comfortable. The A/C was too noisy - had to turn it off to be able to sleep at night. The shower was extremely tiny. The vanity was very small with hardly any surface to keep your belongings. The breakfast choices were not too great. All in all, it stay was a poor experience for us.

The smallest room I've ever stayed in. No closet. Maybe other rooms were better. Staff was friendly. Did have easy access to beach.

It was okay. It was on the beach.

The room we reserved was the cheapest we could find on a beach in the area. We stayed 2 nights and our room was never attended too. The room we stayed in was very small, but fit our needs. My favorite part was the fact that we could walk 100 feet to the beach. Everything else was pretty so-so. Nothing too special.

Homey and Relaxing

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: The staff were nice and helpful with information about the area and the hotel felt like a home.
Cons: Wonderful the way it is
Location: The Wright Brothers' Memorial Park, view lots of lighthouses, and stop by Barefoot Bernie's restaurant
We chose the cozy sized room but were upgraded to the next size up. The next size up was small but very clean and with up to date fixtures and an up to date television which far outweighed the previous hotel we were in. The atmosphere of the hotel was that of a home with a few added touches. The dining area was warm and inviting and the hotel had a beautiful spot along the beach. We would stay again (although in a larger room) because of these and the staff was more than pleasant.

Great for the money

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Location to beach and upkeep of facility.
Cons: I would really like to open a window to hear the ocean and get a breeze - not possible presently.
Location: We went to the Wright Bothers museum and Roanoke Island
We used this facility for a two day stay to explore the Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk area. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of beach access. The staff was very helpful in picking out local restaurants.

Great location, breakfast.Tiny, uncomfortable room

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, old world charm
Cons: Rooms tiny, bed uncomfortable.
Great location, on the beach and close to attractions. Hotel common areas have a old world charm. Included breakfast was great and exceeded expectations in terms of both variety and quality. Rooms are tiny and the beds are extremely uncomfortable. Also the heating/air conditioning system was extremely noisy and kept turning on and off every few minutes. Made it hard to sleep at night.
