“don't overlook this place”

I lived in KDH for 7 yrs. This hotel was very clean

“"You get what you pay for"”

Room was adequate, but very small; not much room to move around; OK for the price, which was what we were after. Next time, we'll be willing to spend more for some space.

“ok, but a high price for that hotel”

The Hotel is ok to sleep, the staff is really friendly. The outfit with restrooms isn't ok, from the beach to the room are 350 yards, that's complicated.

“No customer service”

Poor hospitality. They would not give us extra blankets or towels. There was also no pool towels available. I paid for three hotel rooms in this hotel. I will never stay here again.

“a great location”

A great place and location, they also recommended and directed us to a great local restaurant within walking distancts. A nice stay.

“comfy”

Staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, but some things were out of their control. There was no wifi in the rooms for my three night/four day stay but I was able to get my work done in the 'breakfast room' in relative privacy. Also my micro fridge had to be changed out when I got there. . The staff was very helpful, apologetic, and quick to rectify what they could. All-in-all I had a good visit. I enjoyed the private access to the beach and the outdoor swimming pool.

“Beach was Great But.......”

After getting in the room The room was very small, somewhat clean, sheet were clean and pillows, the locks the doors need to be updated.No controls to keep a/c or fan on.If you fall out of the bed you would wind up in the bathroom, Toilet was loose. Very very tight parking area. Most likely will look for another hotel, next time.

“Would do it again”

We only stayed one night and we thought from the listing on the internet that we would have cramped quarters. We had 5 teenage girls, a 5 month old and my husband and myself. The suite was MUCH bigger then we thought, two large bedrooms with a total of 4 beds, a big living area with a kitchen, a private entrance and balconly. Short walk to the beach and a nice pool. We will definitely use them next time we are in the area.

“Kill Devil Hills”

The Mariner is a good central location for the first time on the Outer Banks. The hotel sits back from the beach a little ways so "Oceanview" is not that great for the price that we paid. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was nice so we could just wake up, eat, and do things... not having to cook or go anywhere first thing was convenient and stress-free. Did not use the pool but it appeared clean. First refrigerator was not working that well but was replaced the following day. A lot of walking to get to our room when unloading. All of the people staying seemed friendly and like "good" people
