It was a great stay. We were there to relax and we did just that! The only thing is we wish we knew a lot of restaurants was seasonal. We found other places to eat.

Good Spot

Pros: Cleanliness. Nice staff and helpful overall.
Cons: TV channels
Location: Right on the beach and close to restaurants and sights of the OBX.
I would have rated the hotel higher in some cases but I did not like what happened with my credit card which was provided to the hotel upon checking in for "incidental expenses". I had prepaid for our rooms and thought ok, in case someone uses the bar or a movie in the room. However, we used nothing and what irritated me was finding two $30.00 charges processed against my bank card. When I called the hotel to question the charges I was told it was customary to charge $30 per room and in 5-8 days I would see a credit to my account. The hotel did not tell me the charge would be processed and then refunded back to my account. REALLY!!! I don't think they should have processed the charge and then I have to wait 5-8 days to get my own money back. I recommended to the staff member I spoke to that they inform people their accounts are going to be charged regardless whether they use something or not. Good luck with this one. Outside of this complaint, my other is the TV stations were bare bones unless you "paid" for the rest. Not to my liking since I have stayed in lesser brand name hotels and had even free movie channels. Ask before you hand over your credit card as to what will happen with it!

Pros: location.
Cons: speed up elevators.
Check in was fast and easy. All employees were happy and had smiles on Thanksgiving Day! Nice beach location. Fire places and free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby! Clean rooms. Could not have asked for a better place to spend Thanksgiving.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful views

Pros: Everything. The hot tub is huge, the indoor pool, the large gas fire pit outside, the rooms, the lobby, the coffee and tea bar in the lobby
Cons: Nothing
Cannot say enough great things about this hotel and the staff especially every staff member made sure they spoke to you and asked you how your day was from maintenance to front desk. It was my girlfriends birthday and we were staying there for this reason. They upgraded us to a wonderful room because of this.

Great Hotel with many amenities!

Pros: We really liked the location of this hotel, the room, and the friendly staff.
Cons: I felt like the restaurant/lounge could have been open longer hours.
Location: The hotel is located just as you are coming into Kitty Hawk, NC. It has a pier located right next to it as well as shops/cafes across the street.
My husband stayed here just on a little weekend getaway. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, neat, and even had a Keurig coffee machine in it, which was great! We chose this hotel because it had an onsite restaurant and lounge and an indoor pool. They also have outdoor fire pits in their beautiful courtyard. Overall, a really nice place to stay in Kitty Hawk.

OBX marathon weekend

Good location - close to marathon start. Nice staff. Prepaid room - key was ready and waiting at the front desk. Good ocean side view. Within ten minutes of good restaurants and shopping

Pros: Staff, location and cleanliness.
Cons: Food quality v. price
Pleasant stay. This hotel is convenient to Nags Head and Duck. The room was cleaned and refreshed every day (three day visit). The room staff was friendly and conscientious. The overall, hotel staff were most accommodating. The restaurant breakfast cost, verses quality is disappointing.
