okay, but noisyPosted Nov 12, 2013
Sounded like a basketball game in the room above me. Also lots of noise outside. Seems like a thinly constructed building. Stairway was also creaky and bothersome when trying to go to sleep early.

Nice little hotel. Great place for fishermen.Posted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: good views, walking distance to grocery store, fishing pier and popular restaurant.
Cons: 3 floors no elevator. Also, ice only on first floor.
Location: Across street from the ocean and pier. walking distance to food, fishing, ice cream. Short drive to Manteo ,Oregon Inlet and lots of shopping.
Hotel was clean, rooms had fairly new interiors. location was very good. Reasonably priced compared to other nearby hotels. people were friendly enough.

Great location to the beach but had some issues...Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: location, price
Cons: room smell
Location: close to the beach and some really good places to eat
We got this hotel for a one night stay while visiting the outer banks. The staff was very pleasant and the location of the hotel to the beach was great. Plenty of entertainment and great restaurants within a 10 minute drive. The only disappointing part of our stay in the hotel was that the room smelled awful. It was a smell of something wet and musty and the carpets felt damp to where our socks would feel wet when walking on it. We tried turning on the AC, opening the windows, and even a whole can of air freshener only masked the smell for about 20 minutes. Overall this place was OK and it could have been great if there wasn't that smell in the room. For the price I would try it again, but maybe ask to change rooms if it were the same condition as it was this time.

Clean hotel with a great location. A mini mart right across the street has everything you need, even hot breakfast sandwiches on Fri. ,Sat, & Sun. Mornings. Close to pier & beach.

Nice, remodeled old beach hotel but missing the basics: decent mattress, pillows, bedding, & lighting. Had to ask for soap & shampoo. Coffee in room was awful, had to ask for a cup of coffee as none made after 7:00am and then no creamer, etc. No ice in machine. Basics do matter after a long trip!

Great hotel for beach accessPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable, good location near the beach
Cons: The bed was a little hard but not too bad.
Location: It's on the main drag in Nags Head, you're a short drive/walk from the beach, the pier, and a lot of little shops and restaurants.
I stayed one night here after I decided last-minute to extend my trip and my other hotel was booked. The Rodeway hotel is across the street from Jennette's Pier, with easy access to the public beach and the pier itself. The room was beautiful though small and very well appointed and clean. The bed was a little hard but I still got a good night's sleep. I only interacted with the staff for check-in and check-out, but they were nice. All in all a nice little hotel if you want something that's a slight step up from the older motels in the area but not as expensive as the bigger chains on the beach.

A decent choice in Nags HeadPosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very basic hotel but it served its purpose. It is right on the ocean front and walking distance to the beach, fishing pier, and restaurants. The room had a musty smell but this is common in most ocean locations. The room was otherwise clean and functional. I wouldn't stay here if I were going to stay in the room for hours and hours each day. As a place to sleep, shower, and change it is just fine and the price was good.
