A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting spoiled by poorly knowledgeable staff.upon arrival by car we were misdirected twice by the same member of staff to the wrong parking area which was confusing in itself. There was a wedding and other events that obviously took priority over hotel guests. The air conditioning in the room did not function it was 29 degrees outside.When we called reception we were informed they controlled the air conditioning!!!!!!!!. I ordered a poached egg at breakfast with some bacon I am still awaiting the poached egg.Very poor service at breakfast. We used the spa it was outstanding one of the best i have used in an hotel

Fabulous hotel. Amacong setvice and a fantastic Spa. Only negative was that the evening menu was very adult focussed and didn't take into account the tastes of the teenage members of our group.

GREAT PLACE!!
THE SERVICE AT THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING. THE CASLE IS BEAURTIFUL AND THE ROOMS VERY NICE. MY ONLY COMMENT TO THE MANAGEMENT IS THE CARPETS NEED TO BE REPLACED IN THE UPSTAIRS ROOMS AND HALLWAYS. OTHER THAN THAT, THE PLACE WAS EXCEPTIONAL. YOU WONT GET BETTER SERVICE ANYWHERE!!

The castle is perfectly mantained, in a gorgeous setting on top of a hill with views of the rolling hills in Asturias. The director welcomed us with his charming attention to detail and his interesting conversation, he made us feel very welcomed. Every member of the staff from the bar service, restaurant staff both in the dinning room and breakfast were all outstanding, very professional and they tended to our needs. The castle held very modern amenities such as touch eleveators, spa features that I had never seen in a swimming pool with massage water falls that start with the touch of your thumb. Breakfast was included and was substantial, delicious and very elegant with Christmas decorations that were tastefully spread around the castle. Parking was plentiful and just outside the property. The wonderful staff made my sister and I feel like queens! Thank you Alvaro, Nacho and wait staff for your attentiveness to detail and for treating us so well!

This property was located on a hill outside of town. The area was exquisite and very well maintained. The best word to describe this property is spectacular. The manager (name unknown) was very friendly and helpful, and seemed to be everywhere carefully watching the entire operation. This property lives up to it’s five star rating in every category.

Do not be put off by the strange looking building. This is an outstanding hotel experience. Restaurant is excellent, breakfast included what may be the best smoked salmon I’ve ever had. Ceilings are high throughout, decor is heavy Victorian (but it works). The people are a true pleasure. I recommend this hotel with my loudest voice.

Felt like being in a castle. Luxurious sense. Breakfast was lovely - white table cloths, great service. "Lunch" special was great - we went at 3:45 pm and enjoyed a 2 hour meal and made it lunch/dinner,. Very good welcome.

A castle in Asturias straight out of Cervantes. Secluded in a forest where at night deer and wild boar can be seen. The rooms are two-story apartments with every comfort and amenity, hight tech lighting, dual tv sets and bathrooms, and excellent beds. Truly five-star service, superb restaurant and bar and beautiful decor throughout make your visit unforgettable. Best part: is 20-45 minutes’ drive from the beautiful (like el Cudillero) that line la costa Cantábrica. Best spot ever in Spain.

Quiet high standard small hotel situated about 1.5 miles out of Oviedo. The staff were excellent and helpful. The room clean and very comfortable. The spa facilities were good and clean. The food good but timings of the availability of food depended on the chef being available. Relaxed atmosphere.

The staff (family owned) was exceptionally hospitable. They took care of our every need. We had dinner there both nights, the food was excellent. The location is breathtaking, we enjoyed the beautiful views and the peaceful ambiance. Would highly recommend this place. Look forward to returning soon.

Lovely building and location with very friendly helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable -we had a town house in the upper floor which meant no view but that was the only downside (and room rate was very fair). Ate in the restaurant one night which was good, used bar and terrace too -drinks cheap and staff helpful. Although out of town, taxi was only 15 mins and under 10 euros

The staff in this hotel couldn’t have been more friendly & accommodating- the room was fantastic, very spacious & the view was lovely- check in was quick & efficient. We had dinner in the restaurant & the food & service was second to none, we also had drinks in the bar afterwards & sat on the terrace & the bar staff were very attentive. We had a lovely time & would stay again

Not ready for guests who want a good nights sleep.
Very far from all Oviedo attractions. Unable to get anything to eat because room service is only open when restaurant is opened. Blinds in bathroom did not work so every bathroom activity was done in full view of anyone passing by. Blinds in bedroom only partially closed, luckily we had brought sleep shades. Staff was unable to solve the blinds situation. We had to stay there one night and next day changed hotels. Wasted valuable time we could have spent sight seeing.

Woderful hotel ouside of Oviedo
This was a wonderful hotel. The grounds and the common areas were very nice. The room was good and the bathroom excellent. The dining room was lovely with good food and excellent service. It is located about 20 minutes outside of Oviedo. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay outside of a city.

World class hospitality and amenities
Palace comfort with friendly and caring staff. The private setting of Spa/pool area is beautiful as well as enjoyable. The Segway tour was both Safe and pleasant; with the coach making sure everyone mastered the use of it prior starting the journey. The restaurant food, service, cleanliness and staff is amongst the best. You get to experience the region while enjoying the privacy of staying in a Castle!

We found easily with our iPhone maps. Car GPS much harder. What's not to love about this place. It's a castle, intimate bar and lounge areas. Restaurant a good size and food excellent. Great service by many staff although Massimo on front desk stood out. Breakfast was a bit odd and the only thing really that disappointed. Prefer to be offered more coffee and if waitress driven just be given whatever is on for breakfast. Maybe our small amount of Spanish did not help. We had to drive in to Oviedo but we knew that and was easy enough to find parking. Others took taxis.

The beds were the best I found in Spain. The staff made you feel like you were their most important VIP. Food was amazing. Wish we had more time to spend there. We were treated like royalty and didn't have to spend a fortune.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The rooms were luxurious and the lobby and restaurant were exquisite. I did not expect this level of class in a small town like Oviedo. Maybe New York. If I could give this hotel an extra star I'd give it two.
